   I had a good service until I was charged for an appointment which I had to cancel (23 instead of the stipulated 24 hour notice) due to severe illness. All they cared about was the money, which left me feeling very disappointed. Uncaring emails demanding money makes me think they care more about that than the people they help. My clinician, Andy, was wonderful though.

   Unlike most services SPS do not offer an initial telephone appointment. As a result, it cost a lot of money to find out that the psychologist I met was not able to meet my needs. I was warned not to engage anyone without an initial phone appointment but did not listen this. On looking for another organisation who can meet my needs, I found most offer telephone appointments. Others might find this SPS’s approach acceptable and good luck on this, but I would recommend anyone looking for psychological help to make sure you have an initial consultation otherwise you might find it is a very expensive way to find out you will not click with your therapist.

   Very nervous plus feeling very anxious about attending today but the receptionist was lovely very warm welcome plus put me at ease has I have been waiting a while to get the help I needed so it felt like today some progress had been made in the right direction I can assure you this place is very safe environment plus very professional they have helped me out with a life changing situation.

   Socrates in Huddersfield were recommended to me by my GP who knew that this company had a fantastic team of highly qualified psychologists and provided great service. I attended more than 40 sessions at Socrates since and found each session invaluable in helping me recover from trauma. I had since recommended Socrates to 4 of my friends who all used their services and thanked me for helping them find this company. I read an earlier review of Socrates on google which strangely mentioned delays and unfulfilled promises of weekly reports by someone under the name of “Anon”. Everything mentioned in that review is NOT something I had ever experienced at Socrates and I had known this company now for over a year; as a result I felt compelled to write my own review because Socrates had greatly helped me and another 4 of my friends. My GP recommended Socrates to me and I had since recommended this company to my friends because the team who work there to help you are highly qualified professionals.
