Amazing experience. Sorted my finance out on my BMW and even when there was slight hiccups, Magnitude managed to find a solution without delaying the collection of my car. Shoutout Chloe Wright, she was excellent and will be requesting to have her again in the future.
I honestly wouldn’t recommend anyone to go with Magnitude. This was my first time financing a car, and the experience has been stressful enough to affect my mental health. I wish I had never gone through with them, but now I feel forced into it. At first, my advisor Chloe seemed cooperative, but that quickly changed. Magnitude are extremely picky about which dealerships they will work with, even rejecting FCA-regulated and long-established dealerships. That in itself is frustrating, but what made it worse was Chloe’s attitude. Instead of explaining things politely, she would just dismiss me with a blunt “NO, we won’t work with them”. I found her customer service rude and unhelpful. By contrast, when I dealt with Conner and Nathan, they were respectful, professional, and far easier to speak with. When I found a car I really liked, Chloe immediately said they wouldn’t work with that dealer. Even the dealer was surprised, since they had worked with Magnitude before. Chloe didn’t care and just wanted to push me to move on. When I mentioned that the dealership was offering finance, her tone got even worse, making me feel like I’d be “stupid” for considering another option. Later I found another car, the dealership offers finance, they offer 9.3% which they said I have been accepted by a soft credit check, however magnitude was closed and I was told I have a lender who will offer me a certain % (not sure how much I can disclose) , so I was sensible and waited the next day to speak to magitude to see if they can work with this dealership, which Conner or Nathan said they can. when comparing finance offers, I specifically told Magnitude not to run any more credit checks without my permission. They agreed. Despite this, after one of their lenders declined me they ran another hard credit check without telling me, and did not inform me at all, I received an email saying we found you a lender who offer higher % than the dealer can. This is not just poor practice — it is illegal. Running a credit search without consent may breach FCA regulations, GDPR/Data Protection laws, and responsible lending obligations. Multiple hard searches can also damage your creditworthiness and limit your ability to secure finance elsewhere. When I challenged Chloe, she brushed it off, saying “well, you’ve been accepted, but if you want to close your application, I’m happy to do so.” That completely ignored the damage already done. Even if I was to work with the dealership lender, I wouldn’t be able to get the finance due to 2 hard credit checks. In the end, Chloe was by far the worst part of this whole experience. She was consistently rude, dismissive, and spoke to me in a way that felt belittling. On top of that, she completely ignored my instructions not to run another credit check — and still went ahead without my consent or knowledge. That is not just bad service, it’s a serious breach of trust and potentially illegal, as it goes against FCA regulations and data protection laws. Her attitude was terrible, and the way she handled my application has left me feeling disrespected and stressed.
Amazing 5* service as always. Second time going through Magnitude! Tasha dealt with everything swiftly, all paperwork was signed & funds transferred to the dealer all in one day, Picked up my new vehicle today & I am over the moon. Thank you once again.
