This is the second time I have needed Richard Marshall’s help at Christopher Little and Co. After a change in circumstance, I found myself looking for a new property. My original Mortgage Application with an alternative broker was proving problematic at a pinnacle point in my house buying process. Therefore I was having to seek alternative advice to prepare for the worst possible outcome. I was feeling very stressed and reached out to Richard with the hope that he may be able to help me. It was all very last minute, and my email reached Richard late one evening during a period of annual leave. However, Richard went above and beyond in responding to my email during his time off, to let me know that he would be happy to help me immediately on his return. This quickly put my mind at ease for the weekend. On the Monday, Richard was calling me first thing, he was professional, open and honest in his communication and managed my expectations well. He also went on to write a detailed report on what mortgages he could secure me and the time frames I could expect with these. He sent this report within an hour of our initial phone call! Luckily, for time reasons, my original mortgage unexpectedly got approved, therefore I no longer needed Richard’s services. However, in retrospect, for any future advice, Richard will be my first port of call as he has shown, yet again, his expertise, hard work ethic and professionalism. I couldn’t recommend enough!

Myself and my wife had an idea of when we wanted to retire but, as this is usually a once in a lifetime event, we had little experience to draw on about how to do it. There we many questions least of all "can we afford to retire" and "what are the best options for utilizing our pension pots efficiently". Initially Richard helped us find a new mortgage and then assisted us with some financial advice on our pensions, savings, and has pretty much helped plan out our whole financial future. As we are clueless in this area his help has been invaluable. He explained everything in simple terms and communication has been excellent.
