The Cod is generous and covered in crispy batter. It is always cooked to order so you have to wait. It's therefore annoying when people who ordered after you get their order first. Staff seems pretty indifferent to this .
STAY AWAY!! I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever dealt with while trying to place an order here. The male staff member who answered the phone was shockingly rude from the moment he picked up. His tone was hostile, impatient, and completely unprofessional, and he made me feel as though I was inconveniencing him simply by trying to give the business my custom. Avoid at all costs I’ve had food poisoning for a week. This chippy used to be decent, not been in a few years and it’s gone absolutely down hill. Don’t risk it, been in bed for a week and lost weeks wages
Not a bad chippy Service very slow even when there are only a couple of people waiting. This could be due to telephone orders. One of the ladies with the short blonde hair doesn't have the best customer service. Always abrupt and seems like shes annoyed. Would rate this better if the staff were more welcoming and friendly.
***never again*** just moved to the area and thought we would try the local chip shop what a disappointment. We ordered fish and chips and a kebab, firstly when opening the kebab it was swimming in Grease so this went straight in the bin. Moving on to the fish and chips the batter on the fish was as hard as a tortoise shell and what fish was inside was also hard! See pictures below - never will I return back here also staff don’t speak or greet you with a smile! Also over priced I wouldn’t mind if food was good but this was all chucked in the bin!
Food was tasty and cooked nicely. Don't know if we're first customers or if it had been a quiet shift but the atmosphere was a bit awkward. This is not the normal for this business, normally very friendly and happy. Still going back.
First time here and it was absolutely delicious, the fish was light and fluffy and no thick grease it was very tasty. I’ve been put off by fish and chips Form the over priced lack of quality about nowadays but decided to come on recommendation it did not disappoint 10 stars if I could.
Probably the best kebab and chips I have ever had. The best fish I have ever eaten. The kebab is nice and thin and melts in your mouth. The fish is crispy and giant. I don’t think there’s a chip shop thats better, personally I could eat it everyday. See you soon. I really enjoyed my food. X
I've enjoyed some nice kebabs from this local chippy every once in a while over many years, however, the way in which they serve the kebabs now and take orders for them has changed a lot since the pandemic (but it still remains the same even though the pandemic is now over), and the level of personal service in this chippy seems now to have gone badly downhill. And it seems be be matched too by a general decline in the quality of the food they dish up - not just their kebabs but also their fish & chips. I didn't enjoy either of the last couple of meals I've had from there as both the quality of the food and the service were well below their old standard; and I don't think I'll be using it again in the near future.
Brilliant chips! Good size to them and no duff ones. Been coming to this place for over 25 years and always service with a smile
