Great spot with amazing Kenyan food and a lively music selection. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. However, the space could benefit from a bit more lighting as it does get quite dark. It might also help to have a few more staff members during busy times—there were long queues for both food and drinks, and the bartenders seemed to be juggling a lot, including serving food. Overall, it’s a wonderful place, and a few adjustments could make the experience even better.

Magnificent service from Elizabeth and superb food make this an unusual treat with food which is very different to any l have experienced before. It does have a problem with its low visibility and needs to do more to promote itself. The large screens which show loud music videos are intrusive, and along with the very low lighting which make it impossible to see your food properly are issues which need to be addressed, but the food was sublime and the service unparalleled in its excellence. Very highly recommended.

Had a wonderful evening with soothing live music by the band Alpha Zuri and delicious food. Tried their chomafry (beef in a flavorful gravy), African chapati (similar to Indian plain paratha), and pilau rice — all excellent. I didn’t recognize any of the songs, but their beautiful compositions were perfect for unwinding after a hectic day. Highly recommend visiting on Thursday nights when the band plays. Warm, attentive service from Elizabeth made the experience even lovelier!

Indigo Bar and Restaurant is hands-down my favorite local spot, earning a well-deserved five stars! The service is top-notch, with warm, attentive staff who make every visit feel like coming home. Their organic, farm-fresh Kenyan cuisine is a flavor-packed celebration of tradition, with every dish bursting with authenticity and care. Pair that with a crisp Whitecup beer, and you’ve got the perfect meal. As a regular, I’m consistently impressed by the vibrant yet cozy vibe and the team’s passion for quality, making Indigo Afro Spot an absolute gem.
