A group of five of us booked afternoon teas and a baked-bean toastie on Sunday afternoon. Four of us shared the teas whilst one ordered a baked-bean toastie. Our experience was mixed. Whilst the sandwiches and cake selection was generally good and flavoursome (with a fairly wide range of cakes/sweet offerings), the toastie was awful. It was not a toastie in any sense! The baked beans were cold and placed on top of an unbuttered slice of toasted bread, whilst another slice of burnt, toasted bread had been placed on top. It was not sealed in any sense and did not look very attractive. Additionally, the pot of coffee accompanying the teas was extremely weak. It was brown in colour but tasted more like hot water than coffee. It was too unpleasant to drink. When making the booking, we had originally stated we were bringing two dogs. As a result of the very bad weather we left the dogs at home but we could understand why we were placed in the back room (out of the way of other guests). What we couldn't understand though were what appeared to be dog hairs on the white table cloth, along with a sizeable stain (unable to attach a photo sorry). The service was adequate. We were served by two young ladies who, whilst not impolite in any sense, did not say or engage much with our group. Not once did they check that everything was ok. (If so, we would have mentioned the toastie to them, along with the tasteless coffee). After we'd finished the teas, they brought us a small plate of cheese sandwiches which they explained were "spare". We think these should have been part of the original offering, as we had ordered cheese sandwiches?

I had sausage baguette but the sausage was not great. Tasted like cardboard. Salad and bread was good. Wasnβt sure about crisps. My friend had welsh rarebit and liked it. I had a big pot of tea and milk, which was really good. Inside it was very cozy and atmospheric.

A very lovely tea rooms, i must say one of the girls there with brown hair in a pony tail was amazing so very polite, her service was great and always had a smile on her face which made us feel very welcome which helped because i felt a-bit nervous as i hadn't been there before. We had the afternoon tea and it was lovely really fresh and looked great and plenty of options for the sandwiches the egg mayo sandwich was my favourite .

I finally got to visit a cafΓ© my friend recommended. Itβs been a while since we had sunny weatherβitβs cold, but it feels refreshing. This cafΓ© is perfect for a day like this. I even saw someone drop by while walking their dog. I ordered a pot of Earl Grey and a scone. The clotted cream was lovely, and it came with a little jar of jam. The high tea in the city center was great too, but Iβd definitely recommend this place as well.

Brilliant afternoon tea experience for myself and partner with our 2.5 year old daughter. Jane and the team were very accompanying of her and even did a mini afternoon tea for her. The afternoon tea itself was superb too, I ate it all! Lovely old school furniture and feel to the place with a welcoming team. Very clean and tidy. Great to have 2 hours free parking just across the road. Would highly recommend anyone to visit jaspers if they want a great experience of afternoon tea! Love the paintings around the place too. We will be back!

Tried the chunky winter soup and lemon cheesecake, both delicious. There are some beautiful and interesting furniture, like the Welsh preacher's chair in the dinning room next to the a bit tight entry/order taking room. Jaspers is located just 5 minutes walk from Llandaff Cathedral.

Jaspers Tea Rooms is a charming old fashioned tea shop. The prices aren't cheap but my coffee was top quality and worth the price. Great place to visit.

It was ok. The quality of the products served was very good but I would have preferred to have more traditional cakes / baked items in the top tier instead of a chocolate covered strawberry and a wrapped dark choc button. Maybe a full size Welsh cake instead of a mini one would have done it .
