After previously leaving our family cat at a different cattery and having a fantastic experience, we left the cat with Edwina. You can tell she is genuinely a animal lover . Our experience was nice..but our cat was agitated and restless for over a week after which we didn't have before. To be fair the weather hadn't been great that week and our cat tends to sleep indoors so it may have been change of environment.

Previously our cat has done very well at this cattery. This time very upset and disappointed. He’d been boarded for two weeks. There were flies all round his pen. He had lost loads of weight, I could feel his backbone, he has diarrhoea and an eye infection. I’m taking to the vet asap. The very least Edwina could have done is tell us he’d been unwell. We will never use CCC again.

I recently boarded my cat with Edwardina and her husband, and overall, it was a very mixed experience. On one hand, I truly appreciated the level of care and attention they gave. From the beginning, both Edwardina and her husband were warm, welcoming, and clearly animal lovers. They took the time to answer all of my questions before the booking, and while my cat was in their care, they were very responsive and patient — even with the number of messages I sent to check in. That kind of communication really helped put me at ease, especially as a nervous pet owner leaving my cat for the first time. It was evident that they genuinely cared about the wellbeing of the animals they look after. Their kindness, the personal touches, and the way they handled communication throughout my cat’s stay were all excellent. I was grateful for that attentiveness and the peace of mind it brought me while I was away. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by an issue that occurred after I brought my cat home. Within a few days, I noticed something wasn’t quite right and took her to the vet — only to be told that she had contracted internal parasites. This was incredibly upsetting, as my cat is an indoor-only pet and is regularly treated for both fleas and worms. She’s on a consistent preventative care routine, so this kind of illness came as a surprise. According to the veterinarian, the most likely source of the parasites was the boarding environment, as everything else in her daily life is controlled and consistent. I did reach out to Edwardina to inform her, and she was adamant that her cattery is cleaned thoroughly and regularly. I don’t doubt that she does make an effort to maintain cleanliness. However, during pickup, I did notice a single maggot on the floor of the cattery. At the time, I didn’t think much of it — especially since the cattery is outdoors and some level of exposure to the environment is to be expected. But in hindsight, it raised some concerns. While she did respond to my message, the conversation felt somewhat dismissive, with the blame quickly redirected away from the facility. Given my cat’s lifestyle and veterinary records, I strongly believe the internal parasites were picked up during her stay. To be clear, I do believe Edwardina and her husband provide genuine care and put effort into what they do. Their love for animals is apparent, and I don’t think this was intentional or malicious in any way. It may have been a one-off incident — perhaps an unfortunate oversight, or something environmental that was outside their usual standards. Still, the fact remains that my cat came home sick, and that’s not something I can overlook. In summary, while the level of communication and emotional care was excellent, and I believe their hearts are in the right place, I did experience a serious issue related to my cat’s health. I would encourage future clients to be aware of this possibility and to carefully weigh the pros and cons. With some improvements in hygiene protocols or perhaps better pest control (especially given the outdoor nature of the cattery), I think this could be a much more positive experience for others.

Warning for all pet owners I left my kitten with Edwina for 30 days, she gave me disccount and charged me 31 days, drop off 14/04/25 and pick up 14/05/25. and after i collected her, first she was extremly depressed and she was so dirty, i gave her bath twice and she was still dirty, so i had to shave her to get rid of the dirt as i was worried that she may get sick. My kitten was left in the cage without been talking to or walking outside. She undrestands human langauge and still she is grabbing my cloths and sitting on my chest day and night and scared of been left alone in the same way. I wish i never left her there, i though she is going to lookafter her properly other wise i could've leave her with my daughter. I do not recomment Edwina or comfy cat cattery and if you love you pet please find someone else who can treat and respect your pet. I regret with all my heart for putting my kitten in that situation.

Really good. Got my cat back today after a fortnight away in Dubai. She was well looked after. She was even kept warm in her own heated shelter. She's been there three times now and yes I will take her back there again for my next holiday and the couple who run it are so lovely.

The breeder, Amanda Zanchetta, whom I adopted my kitten Dolly from, recommended Edwina for her cattery. I live an hour from here (in Highgate), but my kitten was so well taken care of. Edwina clearly loves animals. I’ll be bringing Dolly back for holidays!

Dropped my cat off for 12 days while we were on holiday abroad. Lovely place with a lovely owner who is a cat lover. It was easy to find with lots of parking. Really local to me so it was convenient and had room to accommodate for my cat, with a heated blanket to keep her warm during the night. Highly recommend if you are looking for a local cattery to keep your cat while you are away.

This is the first time I have used a cattery so I've nothing to compare the enclosures too but my 5 cats stayed here for 10 days whilst.my house was refurbed. The staff were very helpful. We arranged an out of hours pic up due to flight times and this was accommodated. The cats are well cated for. The enclosures are small but for the sake of a week it's fine. Again, this could be the norm but I have nothing to compare it to. The owner has pets herself so you know she is an animal lover. She noticed an issue with one of our cats which was minor bit showed she had paid attention. Thanks again for your help
