No end of problems, as a high altitude climber I was told I wasn’t allowed to use my cardio resistance mask during training even though I offered a letter from my doctor, I wrote to head office twice with no response, I’ve never been to a gym that so blatantly kinder training, the equipment is great and location is good! The main pull to the club was the pool as I use this as my active rest session, I just wish this could be sorted as much of my training is now running and climbing away from the gym! I am due to climb 3x 6000m mountains again in Nepal inn September 2026!! Please sort this out, I don’t want to cancel my membership but it may leave me no choice

I joined this gym again in April 2025. Yes the parking is good. Yes the classes are good Yes the showers and gym equipment are good. That’s when anything is working. Since I joined cold showers, no Hot water. No showers, after a week of flooding and walking in mucky water. Classes cancelled due to no staff. And pool closed due to maintenance Now the gym is closed as no available water!! I’m not impressed at all.

I love this gym. The staff are great and the facilities are decent. Had 3 personal training sessions with Jack Cummings. Focused on lower body as I was starting with some knee pain (I am 52). Three sessions in, knee pain gone, feel stronger already and can't thank Jack and Nuffield Health enough.

Nuffield gym is my go to when I visit family in Baildon. Great gym and facilities. The best thing about the place however, is the team. I have met Charlotte & Louise. They do an amazing job of running a busy front of house whilst always being friendly, polite and professional. I look forward to visiting again soon.

It’s irrefutable: the gym is lovely and has wonderful equipment. The fellow gym users are wonderful in equal measure. I always find Oscar’s, Emily-Rose, Jacks and Deacons classes really useful. My only criticism is the reception staff, don’t think they are particularly pleasant and always seem hostile and judgemental when you ask them stuff. The manager of the gym is lovely, his name is Alephus Hyde. It’s worth noting that I would be sceptical on what you read on here as people are remunerated for giving reviews (see people attached below)!

Friendly welcoming staff, decent car park and facilities. However, they have let too many chavy Asian clientele join and all you can hear is them talking way too loud when they are on the machines and you cant hear yourself think, shaving their beards and heads in the toilets - no etiquette. And there is only one lat pull down machine and at certain times it can be problematic to get on the machines especially when people are training in groups.

The gym used to be to a reasonable standard of quality and service however, over the last few months it’s really gone downhill. The staff aren’t very helpful, considering the price of the membership it is really not worth joining. Most of the equipment is always out of order, they seem to love to put offers on to entice new members in yet the standard offered to existing members is below satisfactory. Not many spaces in classes such as yoga, if there is it’s the same people being able to book on.

This place has really gone downhill over the years. Half of the equipment is out of order, the spa pools have been closed, the facilities are in real need of renovation. You were previously able to get a towel when you visit but they’re still quoting covid as a reason for not providing them. Much better gyms out there. The main selling point was the spa allowing you to relax after workout but that’s now gone. Plenty of other areas to save cost - lights on all day, lots of staff dotted around or sat behind reception - but instead a core service has been cut.

It was a very good all rounder but after they closed the spa from October it’s not really worth the visit. As after a good work out you want to be able to relax but not happening. The reson given to save on bills. Well they keep lights on all through day when they can easily be left off till it gets dark. They have far too much staff that are not actively working. They took away the best thing the spa when it worked. Unfortunately it use to be out of order every other day. Gym area is good & cardio but it’s the spa that’s letting it down. I hope the negative reviews might get them to switch them Back on.

I can’t say I feel I get value for my money! Have only joined because I get a discount through my private health. The gym does not have a lot go equipment and when groups of 2 are using three pieces of equipment at “once” it becomes very frustrating. Also terrible that members don’t wipe down equipment after use, wear slops in the training section and “hog” equipment. No one seems to in-force any gym etiquette!
