Excellent staff, polite and helpful, the online app is a really good tool to manage the account. Had an account for 5-6 years and never had any issues. Definitely feeling the benefits of being a regular saver..
Great bank. You save whilst you pay your loan so you don’t really notice your saving. Helpful staff and usually contact you the same day if you email them. Would recommend if you need a small loan or want to start saving.

They will attract you through big promises and (fake) care for communities and individuals who lives in Wales. But if you have been a UK resident for less than six years and your credit score is not brilliant - don't bother. They will take all the information from you and ask you to share even your bank statements in detail, they will scan you thoroughly and - reject you if you applied for the loan. In short, they are not ethical, nor do they care about communities or are interested in helping people. They are not 'empowering' anyone else but themselves. They are just taking from the poor to help the rich with lower interest rates to get even richer. They are pushing people who need help deeper into debt. Shameful. And sad.
So disappointed with the service. Having been turned down again for a loan despite regular payments igoing in on my savings and affordability to repay, I have now had to source money to provide for my family from a high interest loan company forcing me more into debt. Years ago you were a company who were there to help, I wont be apply again and will be closing my accounts as you are of no use
Amazing and friendly staff. Could not fault the speed of responses by email and the application process was easy. Applied for a loan and the comments provided as part of that process for what I requested the loan for were very unprofessional and unsupportive. I will continue to save with Smart Money Cymru though just on the professional manner of other staff in the organisation.
