It's a beautiful forest to walk with an outstanding view of the Wharfe valley. It has a number of footpaths and bridlepaths, rock outcrops and ponds all of which provide opportunities for activities for all ages. Unfortunately the lack of phone signal in the area makes it difficult to pay the parking ticket.

A place of natural and outstanding beauty. Lots of different woodland walks to explore, with beautiful scenery and glorious views overlooking Otley and Wharfedale. Ideal for dog walkers or just a leisurely stroll in the great Yorkshire outdoors. Also the market town of Otley is well worth visiting which is just a short walk or drive away from the Otley Chevin Park.

A super place for a walk. Boots advised, as it's rough ground. Views to north and south, plus close up plane spotting on the final approach to Leeds a couple of miles to the south east. Paths along the hillside vary from the open views at the top through various woods below. Large rocks and trackside walls reveal the quarrying past of the site.

Easy parking although spaces were limited at the one we used but only a few yards away from the forest walk. Beautiful surroundings and lots of paths leading from the public bridleway. Was very muddy after a few weeks of rain so didn't explore. Good place to take a dog. Looking forward to visiting in better weather. Some lovely sculptures through the nature reserve

Fantastic place for a walk, bike, run or horse ride. Looks like there’s wild campers as well. There’s a couple of car parks at the main entrance to the chevin, they can get busy but you can usually find somewhere. There’s other entrances with some road side parking available as well. There’s various totes you can take to make it less or more challenging and make a walk anything from 10 mins to 2 hours. All paths have great scenery and some have some wonderful views overlooking Otley. It’s usually fairly busy with people and dogs but plenty of space so not crowded. Also there are horses being rode up there often so one to be aware of depending how your dog is.

Great walks up here. Lots of different trails and types of works on the tops, through the woods. Really good for taking your dog off and on lead. Parking can get busy on the weekend.

Beautiful walks around this park, incredible views from the top and so many different routes around it. Fantastic for dog walks and looks incredible snow, rain or sunshine. I have added photos of all seasons to give people a better idea.

Fantastic walk, if you are up this way you should go to this lovely Forrest. You may come across wild stags, rabbits and squirrels too, great for family walks, evening strolls, horse riding the list goes on. It is a really good walk for dogs as they can have the run of the grassy areas and Forrest.

This is West chevin, a really decent walk, takes about an hour to hour and a half, there are plenty of smaller footpaths to take if you want to go off the main path, plenty of wildlife to see, best time to see the wildlife would be early morning, as this is a popular walk, There is a cafe serving takeaways only, coffees are quite good.
