Absolutely rubbish vets I’ve ever been to. I always get the same response to ‘monitor’ my cat. The vets or the male doctor would never give me a straight answer with my cat who’s been in a cone for nearly a year. She kept scratching her self to the point she bleeds and the vets didn’t know what the issue was and all they said was to monitor. I kept bringing her back nearly 5 times until I took her for an allergy test that costed over £500. I asked the doctor what is the issue with my cat as she gotten blisters on her lips and still scratching severely. All he said was ‘maybe it’s an allergy’. until you don’t pay these guys big amount of money they will not give you a correct or straight answer.

Spelt dogs name wrong (even though I corrected them twice, once on phone and at appointment) on vaccine papers and microchip registration, will cost me now to put it right on microchip registration so a bit annoyed about that. It's ROGUE not ROUGE, why on earth would I call a male Cane Corso Rouge Other that that I can't fault them, excellent service.

The staff at medivet Uppingham road are very professional and caring, recently I’ve had to take my cat filbert into see them, and a couple of weeks ago I had to say good bye to my staffie dog sunni, extremely caring and professional service, would not recommend the birstall medivet

Our 10 month old kittens (brothers) went in to the Uppingham Road practice to be neutered yesterday. They are indoor cats and were absolutely terrified, stressed & anxious. The staff were amazing with them! They did whatever they could to reassure them & help keep them calm until I arrived to pick them up. The extra time, care & attention they showered upon them both will never be forgotten! Cannot thank them enough for the way they cared for our little boys!

Honestly wouldn't take my cats anywhere else. Fantastic service, friendly staff and the vet zoltan has been absolutely amazing everytime I've been. Had to take my cats the odd time to the birstal practise, not as friendly or professional as the uppingham road one! Thankyou!

I would give less than 1 star to be honest. I had a poorly bunny needed his teeth clipped and tear ducts flushed so brought him in to be seen some time ago. The amount I was charged was beyond a joke. The vet was disgustingly arrogant, didn't seem like he cared about animals at all. The charges increased by £150 the next time I went in (from the price originally quoted) no reason provided. Best to steer clear on this one go somewhere more reputable with more experience and knowledge.

I took my BSH/BSL kittens here for a free health check and all was fine. I asked when they could be neutered and the vet told me they could be done immediately, given their weight and size. The breed is a larger one and so they can generally be done a little sooner. I telephoned the following week to try to book this in and the person I spoke to was quite abrupt with me, telling me that they were below the age at which it was safe to neuter them and suggesting it would be dangerous to have it done. I’m generally quite thick-skinned but this person’s tone and manner made me feel as if I had done something wrong. I was told she would speak to the vet who saw me and ring me back. This was October/November last year and I didn’t receive a call back. I’m now registered with a different vet and have been much happier with the service.
