We have always been very happy with the care we've received for our various pets at Medivet on Roston Drive. From scheduled appointments to emergencies, we've only ever been treated with the utmost professionalism and courtesy, and the vets have always shown expertise and great care, and we're very grateful and have the utmost faith in the team.

The staff at Medivet Hinckley and at Leamington Spa did a great job with my poorly cat. The communication and service were excellent. It was reassuring to know she was being looked after. And they genuinely cared for her during her stay.

ZERO STARS AVOID – Absolutely Disgusted and Heartbroken We recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to have our family dog of over 10 years put to sleep. What should have been a peaceful and compassionate goodbye turned into a distressing experiences for me my wife and my dog. After our poor girl was cannulated, we asked for just a few moments alone with her in the private room. We were left waiting for over 40 minutes — our sweet girl trembling, unable to use her back legs, clearly distressed, and just waiting to be put to rest. After 20 minutes I went to the reception to ask for help, only to be met with a cold and dismissive response: “Sorry, he’s with another client now, sometimes that happens.” At 30 minuets I asked again, “he’s done now will be in a moment” I expressed I’m waiting to see my girl off for the final time she’s sat in there this is not fair. Again “these things happen” That kind of indifference is completely unacceptable. There was zero compassion shown to us or to our dog in her final moments. When the vet finally arrived, he simply administered the injection, then turned to me and said, “Her heart’s stopped,” before walking straight out. No words of comfort, no direction about what to do next — just gone, leaving us in shock and grief. This dog was more than a pet — she was family, and one of the reasons I’m still here today. She deserved dignity, respect, and kindness in her final moments as all our pets do! none of which were shown by Medi Vet Hinckley. What used to be a wonderful, caring practice has become a heartless shell of its former self. I will never forgive the way our beloved dog and our family were treated. Absolutely disgusting and utterly disappointing

I brought my dog in; we had previously taken him there after he was diagnosed with COPD a couple of months earlier. During an emergency visit because he was struggling to breathe, the veterinary staff didn't check his medical history beforehand to understand his existing conditions. Approximately 20 minutes later, they informed me that he had been put on oxygen. After another 20 minutes and a phone call with my mother, I was devastatingly informed that my dog was going to be euthanized. I then requested the opportunity to say a final goodbye to my dog, providing him comfort in his last moments, as well as solace for myself, considering we had cherished him as part of our family for 11 years. Sadly, my request was denied, as they believed it needed to be done immediately. When my mother called the next day and raised the issue that I was not allowed to say goodbye, the person on the phone explained it was because I was in an emotional state. In my opinion, this veterinary clinic ranks as one of the worst I have ever encountered. The fact that they deprived me of the chance for closure and comfort for my dog while making that decision on my behalf is truly disheartening. Naturally, I was distraught and in tears, but it's a sentiment anyone would experience in such a situation. They demonstrated a lack of sympathy and understanding. I strongly advise against choosing this veterinary clinic if you expect your animals to receive proper care. I've included some photos of George below. It's distressing to think that he was left to pass away in a room with strangers on a cold metal table. Apologies for the straightforward language, but he didn't deserve that fate.

Much easier to park compared to other practice on Leicester road. Felt that day stay to extract urine from a cat is unnecessary when antibiotics would have sufficed. If further symptoms after treatment then sure further investigation is required. Friendly staff but as like everywhere it’s too expensive for treatments these days

Took my Rabbit in after dropping weight (3.4kg down to 1.7kg) excessive bleeding from the mouth, hadn’t eaten or drank for over a week. Had tried to get an appointment pre Christmas but unfortunately the booking system has now changed and I was unable to get in every day that I phoned, even though these are critical/life threatening symptoms for a rabbit. Was told that he would not get better without surgery to his teeth, but also categorically told due to his weight and age there was no way he would survive the Anaesthetic needed to perform this. Instead I was given some painkillers and told to come back in a week. Even though I was fully aware of the decision I would have to make a week later, the vet did not give the option to PTS there and then and encouraged me to buy the medication and how we got on. Unfortunately my rabbit suffered a very painful and long death a few days later, gasping for air and fitting. I emailed in to complain and advise my concerns, and received a response stating my rabbits welfare was the main concern. I do not feel like my pets welfare was the practices concern, I believe they were looking for a way to make extra money, by providing medication (£100 bill) and hoping I would then have to return to pay another consultation fee and the fee of the inevitable; putting my rabbit to sleep. I emailed back expressing my concerns further and have heard nothing back. I cannot fault the reception nurses when I visited they were extremely helpful but I am completely disheartened by the distinct lack of care and concern for the animals welfare on the Vets part. I would really not recommend this practice and stay away at all costs if you can.

Attended Medivet today for our dog Wilf to have his yearly booster. Thankyou to the vet as she was brilliant at calming and comforting out Wilf before he had his booster. Thankyou.

Friendly Staff , always try there very best to book you in . Large practice & under pressure to cover the large demands of so many animals in our area . Medivet as a national company now allows you're notes to follow on to any practice , so that's good . Only down fall is as usual the costs .
