An easy walk through the countryside. As a waterfall it is a little underwhelming, but it's literary associations make it quite evocative. The walk is well marked a quite easy. The trail gets muddy in places, but that is to be expected. The vistas across the valley are impressive and lots of little sights along the way. We had a 9 and 17 year old in tow and they both managed it easily. We did the full circuit from Howarth and then on to Top Withens and took us about 4 hours including a brief stop at the friendly.

Definitely worth a visit. Easy to follow trail. Some steps. Can be muddy. Circular walk from the car park can be done in 1 and half hours.

Beautiful relatively easy walk. 2 1/2 miles from Haworth or skip a mile and park at beginning of the track. There is also a bus stop close by! Wear good waterproof shoes. Wet, muddy and slippy in spots! Beautiful walk that can be extended to Top Withens. You wonβt regret going but watch out for the midgesβ¦they are me alive!!

Be prepared to walk on very rough and steep at times, paths, though I wouldn't describe them as a waterfall, it is very popular beauty spot, we had our packed lunch here after walking from Haworth and then returning to Haworth via another route.

My walk to the waterfall took about an hour. I walked slowly, trying to capture every beautiful corner with my camera. I was lucky with the warm and sunny weather β everything felt alive with summer. On the way, I was greeted by sheep, and photographing them was a joy of its own. If youβre looking for a place for a photoshoot, go to the waterfall β youβll definitely take unforgettable shots. And if you simply want to escape the hustle and bustle, this is also the perfect spot to recharge.

The waterfall is small but worth the trip as it is a nice walk. The big problem was that the signpost from the car park showed the direction but we found nothing else to help us so we relied on Google maps as we trekked over the Heather. We followed the actual path back, which was much easier and lead us back to just above where we were parked but it needed much better signposting, such as a map at the car park to show the way.

Stunning place for a walk out. Its around a 30min walk from Penistone Hill Country Park through some stunning countryside and in to a valley. Lots of other walking routes along the way too.

A stunning place to visit either as a solo walker/hiker, a couple or with the family. We had a great time with a picnic, and had plenty of fun in the water with our dog and boys. There are lots of sheep along the paths so be mindful of keeping your dog very close or on a lead. Walking boots/shoes are ideal and sometimes (during wet seasons) it can be slippery.

What a beautiful, idyllic spot to relax by and absorb the beauty of this Yorkshire space. The sound of the water flowing across the ancient rocks, the distant lambs calling to their mothers, the skylarks high in the blue will all tell of quintessential England.

A great family walk for school holidays, relatively flat until the very end bit. Itβs just over a mile each way from the free car park on Penistone Hill country park and is for the most part well paved. Please keep dogs on a lead March through to the end of July and donβt light fires or barbecues.
