I would like to warn everyone who wants to use Companion Care. It's the worst vet I've ever dealt with. Zero support and care, poor communication. I lost my beloved dog and received no support. Vets are very unprofessional and lack compassion. Three years ago, we almost lost our dog because of the same vet, but this time we couldn't save him because it was too late. I was the one who insisted on a blood test. It's the worst vet, please don't go there. The only people with a heart are the ladies at the front desk, who are very helpful.

Such a lovely group of staff, always so friendly and helpful. I put an appointment request form through in the night about 1am and I got a call as soon as they opened this morning to book an appointment in today:)

Worst vets! Do not use do not go! Absolutely shocking care and no help from a very rude manager! I can't give less then 1 star. Lies after lies. No phone call back just a horrible nasty email from the manager. Avoid at all cost! Don't normally write reviews but had to warn people.

Avoid at all costs, they’ve consistently misdiagnosed our dog illness over a period of 3 months, resulting in the unexpected death of our beautiful dog today. Heartbroken and so angry at there neglect. Please, do not use this vet, they don’t care about them just another number and invoice.

Poor service, twice I was given a date and time and I never get times wrong, I turned up once to be told I was an hour early and today I was told my appointment was 1740 documentated in work and personal diary whilst on phone to them only to have them ring at 1730 today saying my appointment was 17:20, and the vet was too busy now to see me. 17:40 you can't get that time wrong. The 1st time they admitted that their system had 2 different times one correct one incorrect, I have 2 cats. In addition, I have always waited at least 30 minutes to be seen after my appointed time .They are rationing the imminisations apparently due to a national shortage and I booked my kitties for the penultimate day before I would have to restart the immunisations. The receptionist said I had 6 months after boosters were due to have them before restarting course, she was incorrect, due to titre levels. I rang a new vet being seen tomorrow for boosters. My opinion don’t even waste your time with them, I overheard an old lady moaning that she had been with them for years and would not see her poorly dog for over a week.

I rang, after seeing my cat had been bitten and was told to take her straight down. They were so kind to me and treated Taylor brilliantly. Such a fantastic vet

I don’t usually leave reviews but I wanted to add this to anyone who might be in a situation like we were. On Saturday my family dog was put to sleep. This is the most difficult decision and heartbreaking for the family. My father has had our dog (who was 14 when he passed) at this vet the pups whole life. When it was time, we were repeatedly told to bring him in. At over 40kg for a dog who could barely walk, this is so cruel and unfair. We all know vets can drive out (we live 5 mins) for an extra cost. They refused to come out to put the dog to sleep, saying he had to be brought in and there was no way that anyone would come out. We eventually found someone to come down from READING to put him down in the security and comfort of his own home where he went peacefully and didn’t have to move a muscle or be dragged through a pet shop. In his final few weeks, we would send videos to ask opinions. They refused to even watch them and said that he must be brought in (obviously a money issue but we would of paid anything, again he’s been at this vet for 14 years!!!). We said over and over he’s too large to be carried and the car ride and walk into the shop/stress is too much for him. They didn’t care. This review is mainly to say that this branch of companion care showed no compassion for my dog, who I see as a brother. They didn’t offer what was best for him, and we’re quite rude, even making my father feel guilty about not bringing him in. There were no options given to us nor another vet to contact. It felt so wrong to have put him through that ordeal which would of terrified him and he certainly wouldn’t of gone peacefully. I will avoid these branches at all cost and everyone I’ve spoken to says that they’ve had issues here. I know we all have bad days but if you work in customer service and have heart wrenching moments like this, it’s just unacceptable to treat families like this.
