   Walm welcome after checking in at 4pm ,room nice,and the service is great,John and his team are really great,the breakfast from Kevin was delicious and very happy with everything, thanks for a great stay John we will definitely be returning, ps we'll bring woody treats on our next booking.

   Having booked back in Feb we arrived an hour early, to discover that the Pub had changed hands and that our table reservation for dinner was no longer booked and that food was not available. However the lovely Lady front of house Amy contacted Kev the chef who promptly arrived and provided us with 2 x fish and chips, which where absolutely lovely and the best weve had in a long time and being cornish weve sampled a lot. What could have been a bad experience was turned around swiftly and it was refreshing that they owned the issue left to them by the previous owners and sorted things. It was very much appreciated and i cant commend Amy and Kev enough ,well done for fixing the issue. So I would whole heartedly recommend and urge others to patronise the Pub, god knows in these times they need our support more than ever, well done and a big thankyou to you both.

   Came here for my dad's birthday last weekend, with 5 adults and two kids. Two of the party had food allergies and we had mentioned this before our visit and we were provided with a choice of alternative suitable options. They had even made a special dessert to cater to our needs. Management couldn't have done more to reassure us, which is so nice to have a meal without worrying about the risk of an allergic reaction. Food was lovely and quick service. Staff were friendly and polite. Will definitely return, thank you

   We visited the George to celebrate my friend Marks Birthday. We all had great meals they were hot and perfectly presented. I had Serloin steak which was cooked just how i like it. I heard that the chef was Portuguese so i went to the kitchen to meet him being Portuguese my self. I would definitely go back again thank you Tomas.

   Went tonight as a gift. Service was 5 star, everyone was attentive and polite. Unfortunately, food was poor. Steak and Ale pie, 3 of us had, was a very poor quality of meat. Had the same meal in April last year, was gorgeous.

   We had a chicken baguette and a cheese and pickle on and loved it, so much we came back for a Sunday dinner.... Superb, didn't want it to end. Only gripe is we had the chocolate browny and sticky toffee pudding (both incredible) but we were charged extra as we didn't pay at the same time as the main meal...... Was told the till won't let them do it for the same price as the fixed menu!!! 4 * due to this....
