What an amazing training team! We started in January with our little (or not so) rescue lurcher to set him up the best we possibly can for the best restart in life. Just finished explore school after completing discovery school. Without this training we would not have had anywhere near the tools we needed to manage this level of puppyhood (one does forget after so many years). Never have I ever seen such fantastic methods and they work wonders. Our Barney has become so much more confident, calm (well puppy calm) and just a happy little chappy. Having own dogs for 12 years, you think you know your dog…turns out I knew very little. After 18 weeks I feel I now truly understand our dogs. There is no such thing as stubborn. My dog is not hyper, he’s scared, and no he doesn’t need to run it off, he needs calm in his life ❤️ I now have the tools to manage his feelings and turn that so called dog frown upside down. It has been a truly fantastic journey and I would urge everybody considering training to join the academy! In fact do it even if you think you know your dog, because if you haven’t been through this kind of dog school then chances are you won’t know your dog as well as you thought! A huge thank you and we can not wait to see you again for skills for life!

Maria came to our house a couple of time just after our new puppy arrived and gave us an invaluable insight into our puppy. We then attended the Puppies and Rescue School followed by Progression School. As well as being good fun both our puppy and ourselves learnt a great deal- thank you

We booked a couple of sessions with Maria as soon as we brought our puppy home. We also attended puppy and progression classes. Maria is welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble and she is always on the end of the phone, should you need advice or supplies. It has been a pleasure to attend the weekly classes. We have learnt so much and it was always fun as well as informative. If you are looking for a local dog trainer or behaviourist, then I would highly recommend Four Paws and Trails.

Thank you so much Maria and everyone at the Rescue and Puppy Class and the Progression Class. We have learnt so much and have become much more confident dog owners in just a few weeks. It was very enjoyable and fun, exactly what we needed!

We really fell on our feet when we met Maria and started our one to one sessions with her. She is a fabulous dog trainer and really takes the time to talk about how the dogs brain works so you can better understand your furry friend. All training is undertaken with a gentle approach. Maria's group sessions are brilliant and so welcoming. We really enjoyed going as a family. Highly recommended!

We attended one of Maria's dog training courses when we adopted our first dog (a rescue). The course was very well organised while still being relaxed, we learned some really good tips and training exercises and our dog showed some real improvements in just 6 weeks. (Well, we showed some improvements as it was about training us as much as the dog!). Maria was patient, knowledgeable and friendly throughout and we can't recommend her services enough.
