A hotel built on a historic site designed with style and pays tribute to its history. Rooms whilst showing elements of old world style are modern with good amenities. Service is friendly and warm. Location is convenient- 10-15 minutes walks to Covent gardens. It can be pricey so one might expect such positives.

I stayed at the Great Scotland Yard Hotel in late October and absolutely loved it. It's always a thrill to return to London! Due to an early flight, I arrived at the hotel before 9 AM, but the staff were incredibly accommodating and arranged for early check-in right away, which was a very thoughtful and welcome touch. This well-known building is steeped in controversial history, but the hotel itself is anything but controversial; it's fantastic. The decor and furnishings are distinctive and stylish, the rooms are a good size and very cozy, and the location is unbeatable - just a two-minute walk from Trafalgar Square.

Stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it. Greeted with smiles and our luggage taken into the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, check in was an easy process. The room itself was beautiful, decent sized for a London city hotel. The bathroom was beautiful! The location is perfect, walking distance from so many sites and restaurants, but tucked away from the noise. Would absolutely recommend this hotel.

A great hotel in a great location. Literally steps to Trafalgar Square and Charing cross tube station. Plenty of pubs nearby for classic pub food and a beer. The hotel itself is totally original- Scotland Yard Police station converted to a hotel, complete with memorabilia on the walls . Good size rooms which was very comfy. Great staff, very friendly. Cocktail lounge was classy - good cocktails and live music on Friday/ Saturday. There are cookie cutter hotels which are all pretty average- then there is this amazing boutique hotel in a historic building . No contest. I know where I am staying when I am next in London.

I had a wonderful stay at the Great Scotland Yard. The staff were amazing, everyone I interacted with was super friendly. Philip and his team are excellent, and a special shout-out to Corneliu who checked me in. He made me laugh after a very long and tiring day. The in-room dining team were also lovely, and the food was absolutely delicious. The room itself was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and great bathroom amenities. The shower deserves a mention on its own: I love a rain shower, but this one was next level! Fantastic water pressure and such elegant tiling and fittings. A truly great hotel in a perfect location, with genuinely outstanding staff. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Really liked the hotel. Let me preface by saying my wife is a globalist so we got a room upgrade and free breakfast. The upgraded room was fine if a bit small. Tiny table, tough to work from. The bathroom was very nice and an amazing shower which is super important to me. The gym was decent sized. Breakfast was good but probably not something I'd pay for. Restaurant staff seemed confused as to what we had to pay for for breakfast but the staff fixed it all at check out. Staff was super quick to accommodate things: mini bar refill, charging adapter, extension cord. They offered to bring in another table even but it would have taken up too much space. Location is fantastic! Easy short walks to Soho, Covent garden, and multiple tube stations. I would stay again.

Amazing place! The hotel is wonderful, from his decoration till all the history surrounding it.Beautiful secret rooms to spend a very good time. Also with a perfect location to staying in the downtown London. I highly recommend the tea room. They have different kinds of tea (very delicious by the way) but the best was his staff with a excellent service. Carlos was very friendly and kind. All time he was concerned with us. I’d back no doubt. Thanks a lot!

Visited for the Doggy Sunday Afternoon Tea and had an amazingly wonderful experience. Our waiter (Jay - apologies if spelt incorrectly) was outstanding and a real credit to the hotel. He was very professional, polite and attentive to our needs. In addition, all of our dietary requests were met by the kitchen staff and the food was outstanding. More importantly, our little pup had an absolutely enjoyable experience with the variety and abundance of food! Would most definitely recommend the afternoon tea experience, especially if you're visiting with a much loved pup.

What an absolutely fabulous hotel. This hotel is steeped in history and the decor and staff uniforms pay homage to the past. However, the whiskey bar run by Daniel is amazing, take some time to speak to him and let him. walk you through the whiskeys, then nip into "40 Elephants", the cocktail bar in the hotel and have the staff detail the cocktails and why the chandelier is like it is - the place is fabulous. - cannot recommend it enough.

Staff and security were amazing here. Really welcoming and made my evening drinks a real pleasure. Was a bit worried about bringing my baby because he can be loud, but they were really helpful in making me and my son feel comfortable while we were there. Also, the cocktails were out of this world, and the food was divine. Definitely coming back!
