   Unfortunately, I have to give Tommy/Mr Maintenance 1 star due to ignoring my messages regarding fixing up a job he carried out previously. I asked Tommy to carry out 3 small jobs which took him less than 40 minutes in total. 1) To screw in a plastic wire cover which took 10 minutes, 2) to slot in a plastic flap that flew off the bathroom fan, and this took 2 minutes because it just plugged straight in, and 3) to mix up cement and cover up a pipe hole. He charged me £80 which I thought was ridiculously overpriced for the work and time it took but I thought to myself ‘fine, I don’t want to deal with haggling and whatnot’ so I went ahead and paid. A few days later the cement surrounding the pipe started crumbling away so I asked Tommy if he could pop by and do a quick touch up, ensuring that it’s covered and watertight. We agreed this would be free of charge (rightly so, because I had already paid £80) and that he would visit within the week. Week after week Tommy kept cancelling, ignoring my messages, promising he would come the next few days and so on, but he never came and now he is ignoring my messages. I know this is just a small job but I am recovering from a broken arm injury and couldn’t do the odd jobs myself, and I am tired of tradesman overcharging and promising things which never get done. Disappointed that it was left this way and I hope Tommy doesn’t do this to other jobs he takes on.
