Excellent company, who were not short on the personal touch. Promec came by recommendation from another RR owner, I was not disappointed. In my honest opinion more reliable (and friendly) than a JLR service centre. The girls on the front desk were very helpful and above all knowledgable on the LR product.

Promec is a great family-run business. From the friendly staff in the office, to the mechanics it always feels welcoming. It's the only place I trust my Defender - they know so much about them. They have replaced my output shaft and clutch with uprated ones from LOF - and the drive is much better. Ian always test drives them to sign off any work, and they proactively suggest preventive maintenance and reasonable upgrades. They are not pushy and give realistic advice.
Have taken my landrover there for years. They even rebuilt it on a new galvanised chassis,unleaded head and recon gearbox. Since had a Roamerdrive fitted by them. Always great service from Ian who knows everything landrover. Wouldn't use anyone else. Went there today and it was like a landrover show. Never seen so many. The only problem is it's a bit remote, but they will pickup and deliver if you ask nicely. If you deliver yourself like I did today, you may get a lift back as I did.

Outstanding Customer Care! Part way during an 800Km trip that had a tight deadline my LR went into "limp home" mode on the busy M4 in early morning traffic. I pulled over and did a google search for LR specialists in the area closest to me. Good fortune shone on me that Friday morning as I was 15 miles from Promec 4X4. I made it to their premises and without hesitation they agreed to look at my vehicle ahead of there very busy work schedule. Fully understanding that I was committed to making a ferry crossing later in the day they proceeded to prioritise ordering parts and carrying out necessary repairs to my vehicle. I could not speak highly enough of this family run business. Attention to detail, extensive product knowledge and service with a smile. Much praise to a local business with a personal touch. Sadly I reside several hundred kilometres from Promec however, I will return at a later date for a major service such is the trust I place in them to get the job done. I have been using Promec for many years and have always found them friendly and first class for Land Rover repairs. Their knowledge of this make of vehicle is very impressive. They have recently rectified a fuel system fault that was not found and diagnosed by another garage.
