    My car was repaired by Steer Prestige Pontypridd after being rear-ended in a traffic accident. The booking process was smooth, and the car was taken in within about two weeks of the insurance company’s instruction. The team at reception, Helen and Cari, and the QC manager, Ali, were all friendly and kept me well informed throughout, which I really appreciated. Although there were a few follow-ups needed after the initial repair, everything was handled professionally and the team ensured things were put right. Communication was good throughout, and I’m glad the car is now back to its best. Overall, a positive experience with helpful staff who made the process as straightforward as possible.

    My experience with Steer was less than prestige! Staff seem nice but that’s where it ends. Initial repair I was greeted with a sloppy front bumper which hadn’t beeen fitted correctly and AC not working, no problem these things happen. I didn’t realise the extent of unrepaired works behind the bumper at this point in time with overspray all over the lower grill to top it off. After a couple of months from the initial repair the paint was bubbling and flaking off so I’ve returned it and they have credit where it’s due repainted the front bumper, it’s not the same colour but they’ve repainted it. At this time I reported the other items not repaired active grill issue and temperature sensor and my AC still leaks after it was topped up previously . (Had the car approx 50k miles was working flawlessly before the accident) Fast forward, IM being threatened by the garage as they don’t want to do the repair and will report their car stolen if I don’t come and collect my unrepaired vehicle. Somewhere a communication has happened with the insurance and they’ve deemed my issues to be pre existing without a shred of evidence other than a photo of the front of my car which has done substantial mileage. Had there been evidence given I’d have said fine! I was willing to pay of pocket but it seems they just don’t want to repair and the work they have done is sub par. In my view the majority of vehicles are likely leased so most don’t care too much about the quality of the repair. I’d suggest avoiding this garage. Edit : thanks for the reply, you have my details maybe you can contact me if you wanted to resolve this but I’m guessing not as threatening behaviour to start with indicated your intentions.

    My van was in for insurance work to replace the sliding door and repair damage to the rear wheel arch, plus additional work to respray the rear bumper and replace the drivers door hinge. The additional work I considered to be charged at a very reasonable price. Although completion was delayed I am still giving IRG 5 stars for their excellent work and customer service. Ali turned the situation around by explaining to me exactly why there was a delay and kept me very well informed throughout. The repair and paint work are superb. Everything was in order upon collection. The van had been thoroughly cleaned and polished. The colour match to the custom colour on my van is perfect. A bonus is that IRG guarantee their work for the life of the vehicle. All in all I am completely satisfied and would have no hesitation in recommending IRG.

    My car went to IRG last year through my insurance due to a non fault accident. When I first had my car back it came out with more problems than it went in with! There was overspray absolutely everywhere where it shouldn’t have been and being white paint on black rubber and trim it stood out massively! Where they had respected the bumper the paint had orange peel texture. They didn’t realign my bonnet so spacing was not equal. I refused the car and sent it back in to then be without my car for a further 2 weeks! Customer service was atrocious, I was having to chase them after they promised call backs with updates! I have even had to spend a few hundred pound to replace my radiator that had been shunted and was leaking due to the accident as they missed this! Will steer very clear from IRG in the future!

    Took car in for assessment in February I was told earliest for the work was June I had no contact. Rang in mid June, I was told they forgot. I was given a date in August that was cancelled to be given another date in august. The courtesy car arrived manual not automatic like discussed. They had the car for 2 weeks to be returned with the fog light still not secure black trim above bumper still scuffed and the paint on the bumper pitted. I'm not happy with anything they done. Will certainly not let them any where near my car again.a week has gone and still no response from IRG. I have made contact with Esure, who recommended them as the dedicated repair shop. That doesn't seem to have worked. I will never have insurance from Esure again. Incompetence all round !
