Got turned down for doggy care before even meeting my dog. Super disappointed, especially after they came recommended to me from work. Changing your name to “Only Small Dog Day Care“ would be more accurate.
I note most 4/5 star reviews here are for the groomers rather than the daycare. Enquired about three day a week daycare. Huge delay in reply. Refused daycare immediately on initial enquiry based purely on my one year old being a Great Dane! This isn’t the first time I have heard of you discriminating purely on size and breed. They have said it’s also because they have 30+ dogs in the field together at one time. That’s a ridiculous amount of dogs to keep together at one time! That’s bound to cause problems even in doodles and other generic dog breeds. My boy plays beautifully and gently with all breeds. He has a small older sister and plays well with all dogs. What a shame you didn’t at least try and meet our boy first for yourself
I recently took my dog Scout to Bruce's Doggy Day Care and Grooming for a grooming session, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Scout was treated with great care, especially during the winter months. The staff paid attention to every detail, from taking care of his private areas to sorting out his ear hair. Scout returned home smelling fresh and looking fantastic. I highly recommend Bruce's for their top-notch grooming services and excellent care for your furry friend!
Very disappointed to receive an email from this organization refusing to accept my dog to the daycare despite there being no conversation, no email discussion, and no real reasoning. You can’t make blanket statements on breeds. Should know better. Cannot recommend somewhere with this policy. You know where to find me if you want to discuss this further.
I took my golden doodle to be groomed. I was dreading it, he was filthy and from all the time he kept getting caught in the rain the last few weeks. I apologised to the groomers about the state of him and they couldn't have been more lovely. He had a ball and it was so lovely to see him so clean and handsome again. Back to my gorgeous boy. Thank you so much.
Very impressed with the groom and the way the company is being run since the take over couldn't recommend Bruce's more even under all the pressure the girls are considerate and do a great job 10/10
I have seen that this groomers is open again, great for the dogs perhaps but they are not following the very clear guidelines set out by the Govt. I have seen more than one dog at a time going in, and more than 1 person is working inside. The guidelines are very clear 1 dog at a time, 1 person doing the groom and disinfecting between each dog. This is putting both staff and clients at risk, and makes all the other groomers who are sticking to the rules look bad. Shame on you
My Louis was very nervous when he first went in, but the manager helped him to relax and enjoy his time. The girls made him feel very special and he came out smelling lovely. Many thanks Paws for Thought!
