I have taken my dog Amber to several groomers over the years and without question Short Bark and Sides are the best. They are so caring for her and do a brilliant job grooming her. Highly recommended!
My elderly Gran (Carole) recently brought her toy poodle (Poppy) in for grooming. She made a few mistakes trying to find the salon, to which Holly rescued her. Throughout the day she became confused and was unable to find her way back to the salon to find Poppy. Holly and the other lovely colleague really went out their way to find my Gran and reunite her with Poppy. The grooming was beautiful, customer service was amazing and the staff members showed true empathy towards my little old Gran. Many many thanks Holly and crew, highly recommend!
Unfortunately we have had two negative experiences with this place now. The communication and price list are completely misleading on the website. Had my dog booked in for a spa package. The pricing is clearly marked from £12-£20 depending on the package. It suggests these treatments can be combined and added onto a groom for “bespoke combinations” but one would assume the stand alone price would be as it is advertised. There is no small print to say that these are “add on” prices. It only suggests that they CAN be. So one would assume £12 can be added onto a grooming price or it is £12 alone for the service. Imagine the shock when the dog was booked in for a quick treatment and we were hit with a £57 bill. This makes no sense as the girl explained the pricing is an add on price. Even though our dog didn’t even have a groom which he might as well have for the price! It’s a poorly designed website with very unclear advertising on pricing. We cannot be the only ones who made this mistake due to unclear pricing and communication. I strongly suggest this get ammended to avoid further disappointed and frustrated customers. The more I’ve looked at the webpage the more frustrated I’ve gotten because it clearly doesn’t state that the spa package prices are an add on price and not a stand alone cost. This should have been emphasised and confirmed by staff upon booking appointment and arrival. It’s extremely misleading. Had we known we would have just gotten the groom too or avoided all together. Not worth the price to be honest, would avoid next time and stick to our usual groomers in Putney who are actually cheaper.
I recently took my my dog here and was extremely impressed with the level of care and attention they provided. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and welcoming, making both myself and my dog feel at ease. The facility itself was spotless, and it was clear that the staff took great pride in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. They had all the necessary tools and equipment to groom dogs of all sizes and breeds, and I could see that they were experienced in handling different temperaments. My dog looked and smelled amazing after his grooming session, and I could tell that he had enjoyed his time there. I was also given helpful advice on how to maintain his coat between grooming appointments. Overall, I highly recommend this dog grooming place to anyone looking for a professional and caring service for their furry companion. The staff were excellent, and the results were fantastic.
I happened to be standing outside this morning (Saturday 4 February, 10.40am) and watched through the window as a small/mid size black dog was shouted at and yanked very firmly towards the groomer by its front paw several times as it tried to pull away from the hair dryer. I would not wish my dog to be treated this way; it certainly didn’t look like the dog was happy as it was shying away from having its paw dried.
My boy Kane absolutely loves the girls here. They spoil him so much, he's always excited to see them and loves going in. The girls are amazing with him every time ❤️
Not had a very great experience with this dog groomers My dog is very anxious and nervous whenever they hear a hairdryer and shakes and hides After being groomed here three times On collecting her they rudely informed my husband that she had bit them and then wanted us to pay for two groomers which would total to £100 She is not even one years old and I wanted them to offer her treats and snacks to get her through the hair grooming procedure but they declined she is now attending another dog groomers and is absolutely fine not bitten staff once and is happy and relaxed when she comes home
