Popped in for a quick claw trim and it couldn’t have been easier. No appointment, no fuss — they got my dog in right away. Chelsie was calm and gentle, and the whole thing was over in five minutes. Nails look great, perfect little service. I would thoroughly recommend.

Can’t thank Chelsie enough for the care and attention she gives to my precious Cavapoo, Alfie. He can be fearful and nervous around people he isn’t familiar with but, from his first visit, he has been very happy and comfortable at Bark Lane. Alfie is groomed to perfection. Chelsie is calm, professional and friendly at all times.

We have taken our 12 year old dog to Bark Lane for many years, and while there were occasional problems (cuts on her skin, nails clipped too short resulting in pain etc), we overlooked them and took them as honest mistakes. However, after our 6 month old puppy’s first groom, we will never return. Our puppy did have a lot of fur as it was her first professional trim, but the only areas that were slightly matted were under her arms and the end of her ears. Despite this, instead of the light trim and shaping we specifically asked for, she was shaved down completely, including her eyelashes and whiskers. She also came home with cuts under her arm/chest. A puppy’s first groom should be about gentle introduction, patience, and building trust. Instead, Rosie was put straight on the table and shaved immediately without being bathed, brushed, or eased into the process (which we saw just as we drove off). The whole groom took barely longer than it usually takes for our older dog alone, showing little time or care was spent on her first experience. Yet I was still charged £50 for this, for a rushed shave, visible cuts, and a distressed puppy. The consequences have been awful. She came home distressed and has not been herself since. She has even been too scared to go into the garden to go to the toilet, which we believe is linked to the unnecessary removal of her whiskers. This has caused her real fear and lasting upset. This experience was not just disappointing - it was unacceptable. No dog should be rushed through, completely shaved against their owner’s wishes, or left with cuts and distress, especially not a puppy at her very first groom. I have also spoken to people who have also had dogs go to Bark Lane and have had similar issues. I would strongly advise other dog owners to think twice before trusting Bark Lane with their pets.

I am proud to say that I have been a loyal customer of Bark Lane Grooming since September 2013, 11 fantastic years of Service by Chelsie & The Team. I first took my kitten Princess to Chelsie when she was just 1 Years Old, now she is 12, Princess wasn't easy as she had, had a traumatic experience at another Salon. Chelsie was amazing with her. For the past 6 years Chelsie has been bathing and grooming my Frenchie, Loki once per month, every year, all year. He also has a Christmas Eve Spa Day Party with her without fail. We would not miss it for the world. He loves Chelsie and the entire experience every time. I would not go anywhere else. 10 Stars if I coould!

We have been taking our cockapoo Gracie to Bark Lane since we moved to Caterham two years ago, and have always been over the moon with how she's groomed. She always comes back looking and smelling amazing and we know she isn't the easiest to deal with as she's a bit of a drama queen and hates being groomed. I have used so many different groomers over the years and Bark Lane is by far the best. Chelsie always puts the dogs welfare first and I have no worries leaving Gracie at Bark Lane to be looked after and groomed. Would recommend to anyone :)

The most caring dog groomer ever. UPDATE: I need to update this in light of recent extreme hot weather heatwave conditions - Chelsie is so caring, she takes time to post social media updates to ensure her clients transports their doggies by air conditioned car in this heatwave, rather than walk them there, and if this isn't possible then she will go out of her way to rebook - she puts the dogs welfare at the forefront of her concern. For her "this is not a drill", she cares so deeply about her doggy clients - their welfare comes 1st. Every time!

My dog Rupert has been going to Bark lane since he was a little puppy. He loves going and is always so happy there! Chelsie not only does an amazing groom that looks adorable but is also so gentle and lovely with the dogs - we wouldn’t take Rupert anywhere else to be groomed, and 100% recommend Bark Lane :)

Took my 11week husky puppy for his first trip to a groomers and it was the best experience for him and me. Very welcoming and friendly staff and Casper was very happy in experienced professional hands. Wonderful result. Will definitely be returning! He also communicated his thanks when we left! Would definitely recommend.

I have been bringing my westies to Bark Lane since it opened. Chelsie is a fantastic groomer, really cares for the dogs and always goes the extra mile to make it a special event. All staff are excellent and friendly. The shop is well laid out and safe. As a young business women Chelsie is an inspiration and should be supported in her efforts to develop her small business.
