The most traumatic experience with a therapist I have ever encountered. Classist, I have a fairly received accent. But when I turned us she was continually cold. In fact my first verbal interaction with her in person was when knocking on the door at 11:52. Her response “I don’t start until 12”. That was it. No “Hello! Thanks for coming!” Etc. She made personalised comments that were beyond inappropriate, and told me explicitly “You don’t have the aura of someone who wants to get better” She will run with the narrative that I was angry - couldn’t be further from the truth - I was sad and crying. Having travelled just over 2 hours to see her, and being spoken too in such a genuinely horrible way, I was devastated. Cold, impersonal, well at least for me. I’m sure if you’re more middle class she’s for you.
