Nick Thompson is an outstanding vet, and human being. I had worked in conventional veterinary practice for three decades, seeing the same pets return again and again for the same health issue and repeat prescriptions which were only temporarily masking the symptoms. We had been struggling to find a solution to our dog's ongoing skin condition for over 2 years, which was significantly impacting his quality of life. We had been seeing a conventional vet trying to control it using conventional veterinary medicine, consisting of a cocktail of drugs, which seemed to be masking the symptoms rather than dealing with the problem, as well as affecting his mood and making him seem depressed. We knew about Nick the Holistic Vet from Facebnok and we were keen to try a more 'Holistic' approach, so asked to be referred by our vets. Thankfully, after our initial consultation Nick was keen to work with us as he was confident that he could help us improve our dog's quality of life. From the outset we felt that Nick was very receptive to our comments observations, and concerns and genuinely listened to us. Nick always took the time to explain things to us and was very thorough in his approach, exploring multiple avenues to ensure that we ruled out certain clinical conditions. Throughout the treatment we always felt that Nick worked with us as part of a team, so felt wholly part of the process. With Nick's guidance we put in a number of changes to our dog's diet and took care to control his internal and external environment with regards to exposure to allergens, and added in specific protocols recommended by Nick, including homeopathic remedies. We now have a nine year old dog that is happy and energetic, full of zest for life, and often people think he is much younger than his years. Amazing vet - I can't recommend enough. Our beloved dog Misha was diagnosed with HSA, the only treatment option we were given was aggressive chemo. It felt like a death sentence and I felt we were written off. I contacted Nick and immediately felt a sense of hope.
