Very Disappointing and Untrustworthy Service – Avoid This Shop We purchased a gold chain from this shop along with my friend like couple of months before. We were referred by someone we trusted, which is the only reason we went there in the first place. Before the purchase, the shop owner (or manager) assured us that we would get the best quality product at a very competitive price, even claiming their gold rates were lower than the Indian market. This was said clearly in our own language to make us feel more comfortable and confident. However, we were in a bit of a rush because it was near closing time. We quickly selected two gold chain designs and paid by card. After we left, the shop closed immediately. Later, when we calculated the price properly, we were shocked to find that we had been charged almost one and a half times more than the current Indian gold rate. We called the next day to ask about this huge difference, and instead of giving us a proper explanation or showing any concern, the man on the phone started giving us a lecture. He spoke very rudely and tried to justify the high price by talking about gold extraction, labor charges, processing, etc. — none of which he had mentioned clearly before the purchase. Even worse, they charged us VAT but didn’t provide any proper VAT invoice when I asked for it. When I requested it again, he said I had to pay VAT (which I already had), but still didn’t send the bill. This makes me feel they are not transparent and possibly not running the business ethically. I truly feel manipulated and misled. The way they treated us after the sale was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I will never recommend this shop to anyone. Please be very careful if you're thinking of buying anything from here. I spoke with the same person who had assisted me earlier—either the owner or the manager. Unfortunately, the phone conversation was not pleasant. He spoke to me in a harsh tone and mentioned how difficult it is to extract gold and how much effort is involved in the work. I wasn’t sure why he was explaining all of that, as I simply expected clear communication about the pricing. In my opinion, if the final price is going to be higher, the customer should be informed upfront. That’s all I was trying to say—I don’t think it’s fair to surprise people with unexpected charges. He also made a comment comparing my earnings here to those in India, which I felt was unnecessary and unprofessional. The conversation ended with him telling me not to come again, which I found quite disappointing. Based on my experience, I personally would not return to this shop, and I would advise others to be cautious, especially if you’re visiting for the first time or don’t know them well.
I went to this jewellery shop and the staff and manager was very rude. When me and my friend were discussing the price tve manager intervened and said “us if we can’t afford to buy jewellery that how we going to pay for Gol Gappa up the road”. Can you actually compare food with gold. We bought exact same item from southall and weight at a cheaper price in southall. He had told us he needs to labour cost,vat and money for staff that works for him Loads of nonsense things. We was shocked by his rudeness and took our money elsewhere where. I have bought gold loads of gold in the past but never had to listen to this kind of nonsense and humiliation.

Every time when I visit I buy more than my plan just because of fabulous customer service and great assistance in making choices. Recently I went on 29th to buy 80g but I bought 140g. Unfortunately have to give a one star. While I was happy with my purchase… I used a brand new card, only had it for a week, I noticed the staff wrote my name on the recipt… which they took from my card, on the same side has all my security and card info… for the last 3 days someone has been attempting to take money from online purchases for Morrison’s and odeon cinema… this is the only shop that could have taken my card details as they took my name from The card. Reported the same to my bank incase anyone else experiencing same. It’s a shame as looked like a decent family business but the handling of sensitive data is compromising here
I have worked for Mala and Sunil, they are amazing employers and have always treated me as a family. It been a long time I have shifted to India but still miss that wonderful time spent with them.
