Sadly it often seems the very thing i want is out of stock. I wanted black and white sewing thread, gutterman brand, but they didn't have any at all, I took a dark navy and left disappointed. I asked the checkout assistant who without checking anything said straight away 'we don't have any.' If they don't have the basics what's the point

The staff were well informed about their products They were patient kind and extremely helpful. Because I don't have a 'Hobbycraft' near me , I tried together some 'plaster of paris' from lots of shops, no one stocked 'plaster of paris' I went to Hobbycraft - fantastic they had plaster of paris and lots of moulds.

Always a great place to get supplies. A wide range of prices for various affordability needs. I recently grabbed my click and collect order only a few hours after I ordered which was amazing (not to be expected but appreciated). I went to collect my order during the late afternoon on a Monday and I received my order within minutes. I can wait but the prompt service is really appreciated. I do struggle with a chronic health issue so being able to pick up an order promptly is an extremely appreciated stress free service when my health is so unpredictable. The staff are always so lovely and happy to answer my list of questions. So neurodivergent friendly in my opinion. I couldn't ask for more honestly. It's always so clean, clear and aesthetically organised. I plan to go again soon to use up my vouchers this month and sace up for some classes. Really glad there are more accessible online classes.

When I visited (Sep 2025), the Watford shop was poorly and confusingly stocked. There were signs but it was all mixed up, e.g. "Bridal" had only plastic storage containers, "Knitting" was wooden cutouts. No crochet cotton to be found, a poor selection of beads, and the Gütermann thread display was missing so many basics, I took a photo: see that it's completely missing *black* in 1000, 500, and 250m sizes. I asked if it was a short term restocking disruption but apparently it's been like this for at least a couple of months. Very sweet staff but seems to be in need of better resourcing and leadership. Stevenage shop (visited in Jul 2025) was much better organised. I visited Hobbycraft Watford the same day as I went up the other end of the very pleasant, walkable High St to A&M Textiles, a far better shop. Kind of nice to see small business high street shops doing better than big box stores - kudos to Watford.

This rating is specifically based on me looking for Ricorumi yarn which, sadly, they didn't have in stock and, if I'm honest, the section looked a bit sad. Maybe it's just a shortage in supply?

Had lots of craft products, it was tidy in the store and the staff were helpful. It didn't have some of the things I needed but I'll get by.

My constant supplier of orange wool so I can continue to knit the little hats for the little heads at Barnet maternity. They have never let me down. Plenty of parking and friendly service.

I needed some advice on a project I was trying. The member of staff on the shop floor really helped me. Then I needed some help with another craft and she gave me some advice and took me to where the items were. Very helpful and friendly. We went to the till and the member of staff reminded me about my Hobbycraft card. Great service all round. Very happy whenever I go to the Watford branch. Even my nearly 3 year old granddaughter says it's her and Nanny's favourite shop. Top marks.
