I am afraid I cannot recommend this place. I have two boys ( a 3 year old and a 5 year old). They initially really enjoyed the paints and the plates they were painting. However I must confess they were a little messy (being typical of a 3 year old and a 5 year old boys). Half way through their 1 hour session a staff member took away their paints. My children looked around and wondered why this was being done. They were simply left to work with the limited paints in their pallets. My boys enjoy being creative and working with different colours but were then left with no more than 1 or 2 paints in their pallet to continue their design. Having lived in South Woodford for 20 plus years I do enjoy supporting local businesses but I felt the boys simply could not enjoy the full hour that we had paid (around £37.00) as the paints were taken away from them. Consequently we finished our session within 30 minutes despite having paid for 1 hour and left. I do not often leave a review where I have had a bad experience, particularly for small independent businesses. However as an exhausted dad, i was relying on just letting my two boys have a bit of fun and unleash their creative side which was cut short as the cafe made a unilaterally decision to remove the paints from the table. I asked specifically what age group the cafe can accommodate and they said any age from new borns. This made the conduct of the cafe even more surprising. There is a slime making cafe 20 seconds away from this place and I think there is a far better service for children looking to be creative- particularly if you are an exhausted parent who wants to find something to do with two young boys. All in all not a great service or experience.

My daughter and her friends had a lovely time painting beautiful mugs. They all enjoyed the experience and would definitely go back. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place

Lovely place with really kind staff, and the kids had a great time. Only downside was the tidying up took a bit long, which meant we lost around 30 minutes of our session.

A fun morning spent painting in a quaint and relaxed environment. Nice choice of pieces and paints. No feeling of pressure to be the next Picasso and the tea + toasties filled a gap nicely. Can't wait to see the finished product in a week and honestly even if they don't turn out fantastic, I had more than enough fun just painting with my partner.

Great place to try ceramic painting, it's very easy to pick up with the staff support, warmth and encouragement. Only a small fee per person then you pay depending on the piece you picked. Also lovely coffee and cake! Only downside is that there were little kids birthday parties going on all afternoon which made the place quite noisy. But they were having so much fun, can't really complain!

We booked for our 4 year old birthday party and we couldn't have been happier with the staff who very accomodating, freindly and proffesional. We had a large number and it was a little tight but the party went very smoothly. Definitely recommend to anyone and will probably be rebooking again as some point. The only thing negative is that there could have been more of a selection of ceramics, there was only 1 mermaid but 12 girls lol The food was perfect for their age group and the cake they supplied was very nice. Thank you, my Daughter loved it!

Initially I made my booking via phone call. It was a brief conversation and I was booked within minutes. The following day I realised I couldn’t make it so when I contacted Creative Biscuit via email, they were very efficient and had me rearranged straight away. They also made me aware I had been seated at the rear table. We walked into the store during a child’s birthday party and was welcomed with smiles from everyone. After approaching the desk, there was a little miscommunication regarding my booking but that was quickly sorted and we were taken to the rear table. Then we had the opportunity to choose what we’d like to paint. They had a good variety of ceramics to paint. It took us forever to pick one! Once seated, we were given a briefing on how to use the paints and what to do. We had 2 hours to complete our painting and were left to enjoy our experience. When we needed any tools we were attended to straight away. Once we were done, they took down our details, pottery and payment. The pottery will be collected in a few days time after it goes into the kiln. It was very relaxing, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our day. We can’t wait to see our master pieces!

Really nice space, light and airy. Menu is fine for a light lunch or snack. Staff are friendly. If you want a quiet time do check if they've got a birthday party happening - they don't have a separate party room so it can get loud.
