They scalped my mum's dog My 70yr old mother took her furry best friend (Duffy the dog) for a haircut... Unfortunately when she picked him up he had been attacked (presumably) by a renegade Red Indian who had attempted to scalp him with a blunt spoon. He had bald patches shaved into his neck and I can only assume they thought he might look better with one ear, so attempted to chop one off (fortunately they changed their mind halfway through the procedure). My mum came home upset and extremely disappointed with the finished result and her sad faced best friends bloody ear (She really doesn't enjoy confrontation, so was probably quite easy to fob off). Duffy is 11 years old and is a seasoned visitor to the hairdresser's, on at least 44 occasions he has escaped unscathed. Unfortunately these events didn't deter the staff from charging full price for such a lackluster service. A phone call from the absent owner would of been nice (although to be fair, possibly not even notified by staff). So in conclusion I can't really recommend this establishment... unless you are after a one eared dog, in which case this is the place for you. I'm extremely grateful their scissors didn't slip lower down and transition him against his will. Poor little doggo looks so sad now.

My miniature Yorkie Audrey has been coming to Abi for a mere 1 bath and 2 groom's now and already we feel like we are home! Audrey doesn't enjoy being pampered, groomed or anything of this ilk as she is so tiny, has many health issues and is somewhat of a diva, so finding someone who I feel Audrey will be safe with, loved by and be given the patience, time and respect that she needs and deserves is hard to source. Audrey is a wiggly customer and likely not the easiest to groom. But Abi just has a really calm way about them, a gentle approach that puts both Audrey and I at ease and nothing feels like too much trouble. Audrey started with a bath to get her used to a new groomer and salon, but after one visit seemed happy to be groomed without too much distress by the sounds of Abi's feedback. The salon in chipping sodbury is gorgeous, unique, and I feel both mine and Audreys concerns and anxieties have been noted and respected, as well as Audrey's complex health needs such as no treats or being around other dogs etc, and I never feel rushed there or scared to leave Audrey which is a deep relief for me who is an overly sensitive dog parent!!!
