The pool is alright, but hasn’t got a very good interior, as when you swim and hit the bottom or sides, it doesn’t feel good. Along with this, the changing rooms are unacceptable. Right down the road is mansions, and you have monstrous things in the cubicles. The gym is a very good size, and has lots of running machines, though.
Don't go swimming very often, however last time I went last week I left my phone in changing rooms....a member of staff took the time to come and find me as I was swimming- not asking for me over tannoy as they knew I was swimming. Changing rooms very clean, showers hot, staff that go above and beyond ........all for £4.45......that's what I call value for money!
Best leisure centre in the area. I come mainly for the pool which is a lovely big size and always so warm! Even in the summer. There is also a free car park. I live in Romford and have tried out all of the centres in the area and now wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Staff here seem nice, lots of parking, nice location, good centre... but the price!?! Swimming is a life skill, we have to teach our children to swim, how is it acceptable to charge £25 for 1 hour of swimming?!?! I decided to use a different well known company and the cost was significantly cheaper - more than £15 cheaper! The centre and the staff are nice, but the price is shocking.
I had my sons 7th birthday party in the small pool last Saturday, and I highly recommend it. The whole experience from start to finish was faultless, the changing rooms was separate, we had a key for each to leave our stuff, a lifeguard watching the pool, a great member of staff in the pool, Jake was brilliant, he led the kids, he entertained with games, which was fun. There wasn’t many adults that wanted to get in originally until they saw it and we ended up with more than enough adults. The ends part that Jake did with the happy birthday was out of this world. We then went to have the food in the cafeteria and Tracy went above and beyond to ensure it worked out perfectly, every detail from the lights being switched off for happy birthday to the cake being cut!
Nice gym Busy, if you like that … Cafe is nice Everything is clean & tidy lovely Gym staff & instructors My only criticism is reception staff are notorious for not being friendly they are rude & unapproachable :/ Also the sales team seem to sit around alot and the majority of them are not professional Once your passed them you’re all good to go ! It’s a shame that a lot of the reviews seem to mirror the same thing who ever is managing needs to call a meeting and address this
Good equipment yet sorry state of management. I had to cancel a not fully subscribed studio class as I was unwell and yet got charged a penalty which was not reversed despite repeat representations. The centre advises not to enter if unwell and I followed that policy. One class cancelled in 7 months of membership and got charged a penalty fee. Centre does not pick up calls and is poor in email responses.
Staff excellent, help and advice. Access very good although the hoist at the main pool is so slow they use the mobile one. Also two outstanding accessible changing rooms but could do with more. Recommend
Swimming pool is great has large lanes pool an small pool.nice temperature also very clean pool an changing rooms an showers,:hair dryers.all free for over 60 .
Very good, new sports centre. I've only used the pool so I'm only reviewing it. Excellent changing facilities with two accessible changing rooms, one with hoist and table for disabled adults. Poolside the floor is textured and non slip. Plenty of lifeguards around and they're very quick when needed.
