My 4-year-old son has been taking swimming lessons with Push and Glide at the John Lyon School pool in Harrow-on-the-Hill, and we couldn’t be happier. His teacher, Jane, is truly exceptional. She has a remarkable understanding of how to work with young children, and her approach is both patient and highly effective. My son can be a handful at times, but she knows exactly how to guide him, keep him engaged, and make his lessons genuinely enjoyable. The organisation and management of the lessons are excellent. Whenever we’ve needed to change days, the process has always been completely painless. They accommodate us in the best possible way, and they make sure we never miss a lesson—sometimes even arranging two in the same week if needed. This level of flexibility is rare and genuinely appreciated. The pool itself is big, clean, and very warm, creating a perfect environment for young learners. We feel incredibly lucky to have found this place and to have Jane as our son’s teacher. His confidence in the water has grown so much, and he looks forward to every single lesson. Highly recommended.

My three daughters have been with this swim school recently, and I couldn’t be happier with their progress. We’ve tried a couple of swim schools before, but this one really stands out — they carefully track and monitor each child’s progression, which has made a huge difference. It’s brought so much confidence to all three of my girls. The swimming teachers are absolutely fantastic — patient, encouraging, and skilled at bringing out the best in the children. Amanda, who manages and coordinates bookings, is brilliant. She’s always full of smiles and energy and handles any wobbles or fears about getting into the water so gently and positively. A special mention to Sushma, who is an outstanding teacher. She’s thorough, dedicated, and knows exactly how to bring out the best in each child. Her firm but caring approach builds real confidence and strong swimming skills — you can truly see the results in how quickly the children progress and how proud they feel of themselves. Highly recommend this swim school — it’s been a wonderful experience for our family!

What a fantastic swim school! I really don't understand the 3 star review left below as the classes offer great value for money when you consider the low ratios classes, the amazing calibre of teachers and the fantastic progress the children make as a result of this. Every single child is made to feel welcome and special and it makes for a lovely, nurturing and safe atmosphere for the children to thrive in. If you're not fussed about high ratios and low progress then of course leisure centres are cheaper! I must say although it's not highly known, this company is actually a social enterprise which is a non for profit and they donate generously to several charities regularly throughout the year. I would much rather this then line the pockets of the bigger companies out there! Would highly recommend!
