   The lodge itself is very clean and comfortable. Fairly well set up, the kitchen is adequate though not excessive (we have food allergies so can't eat out very much). Very dog friendly with bowls, bed, and sofa covers available. Lovely enclosed paddock just 100 yards away. Good welcome pack with eggs, milk and delicious homemade cake. Owners live next door they are accessible but do not intrude. Excellent parking provision. Good position which is very central to the Forest of Dean and all its wonderful wildlife On private road which is very quiet and peaceful but badly maintained.

   Beautiful lodge, well set up, super-comfortable and easy access to some great walks and places to visit. We were visiting from New Zealand and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break to explore the Forest of Dean.
