   It was an average stay. Some staff members were excellent while few made us feel really odd everytime we asked for something (specially in the restaurant), it was a bday celebration and we decided to stay over. Room was ok, service a bit hit and miss depending on who you are dealing with, breakfast took almost 45 mins to arrive after order. Appreciate the hotel recognizing their staff challenge to serve food on time allowed late check in. Thank you to the manager at the restaurant who managed to give a small cake for my wife on her Bday (while one of her staff members just made us feel how could we even ask for something like that, although we checked if this was possible to arrange while booking the hotel).

   The staff are very nice indeed however the hotel mostly consists of a building behind the old and rather lovely manor building and house most of the rooms. They are small the sound proofing is not good and are a bit tired. I did have some issues. The bathroom door was falling off and wouldn’t close. Shower. My room had a cubicle but it appeared that it had let water by or had come out of the drain when I came back from dinner and the bathroom floor was wet. It also took an age to get hot and there was no where to put anything like the shower gel provided (which was nice). The room had a lovely view although the window hadn’t been cleaned in a long and included one of those lovely smudge pigeons make when they fly into a window. The rooms are cold one radiator and your in the hands of management when the heating come on. I did eat at the hotel and my evening meal was poor value for money. The pie of the day was bland and mostly mush inside with a rock solid pastry shell a big blob of mash and vegetable was some barely wilted spinach £28! Breakfast was standard nothing special

   Our afternoon tea experience on 5th September was somewhat disappointing. Having discussed our allergies we were not supplied with any of the sandwiches we requested. We waited some time for the first pot of tea but two more arrived with the sandwiches but those extra pots went cold very quickly. Not one member of staff came to check if everything was ok. We were expecting a better experience from a well established hotel.

   My husband and I stayed at Stonehouse Court hotel on Wednesday 27 August. We absolutely loved the setting and the decor inside was beautiful. All the staff were polite and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and had an enchanting view. Sadly though we found the food dissappointing and the service a little slow and haphazard. We felt the descriptions on the menu and and price suggested much better quality of both cuisine and service. Our breakfast was also dissappointing. What a shame that the food didn't match the glorious setting and charming comfort of the hotel.

   What an amazing experience! I emailed to ask if I could take some Prom pics of my son at the gorgeous hotel. We were warmly welcomed and not charged. The grounds are stunning! My son and his date were so happy. Thank you guys again for being so wonderful!!!

   Excellent short break in this lively hotel. Good breakfast continental and cooked buffet. Good bedroom size with good modern bathroom. Staff friendly and helpful. Can thoroughly recommend this hotel

   Only giving it two stars because the staff were friendly and the dinner service was excellent. Condensation in room, room felt damp and suffocating. Electrical devices pat testing out of date, faulty bedside lamp that flickered on and off indicating a loose wire. The bathroom door would neither close nor lock and would swing open. Bed felt like it was older than the house. Breakfast was help yourself which would normally be fine but what was on offer was limited, dry and had probably been sat under the heat lamps since the dawn of time.

   Katelyn and all the other staff looked after us with such grace and attentiveness. We were at my girlfriend's cousin's wedding and the staff could not of tried harder. Katelyn started to go round the tables and checking up on everyone, which personally I have never seen at a wedding. Usually weddings are a get them in and get them out but this was far from it. All the staff especially Katelyn were so amazing to make the day special and when you thanked them, we modistly got a response of my pleasure ❤️ thank you so much for making our family's and close friends day so special ❤️

   Visited Stonehouse Court on a Friday lunch time with some friends for afternoon tea. It was amazing, the sandwiches were fresh and really tasty, the scones were warm and straight from the oven and smelt lovely. Unlimited tea and coffee, great value and we even had leftovers to take home. Highly recommend!

   Hotel is set in nice grounds with a canal running along the rear of it. The evening meal was excellent and the restaurant attracted patrons other than hotel guests which speaks volumes for it. Storehouse itself is quite a small place but the canal walk is well used by locals.
