   Had a booking for 5pm, had drinks served then it wasnt untill 6.30pm our meal came out to table. Had to shout over waitress to ask why there was such a long wait. Every other table who came in after us had been served Had their starters and mains finished before we had even had our mains. Staff were going over to their tables and checking all ok etc but we never got asked once even though we had finished our drinks and were looking around for staff attention. Shame as food was lovely and drinks were good, we would have spent alot more money if staff were showing any interest but they appeared to be more interested in other tables even though we were in the middle of them all and had a 5 month old baby with us which is difficult to entertain nearly 2 hours for just one course!

   Had a delicious meal tonight at Castello Italia. That chef knows how to cook. The fish of the day was superb-the sauce, subtle + so tasty. Gordon Ramsey would be raving about the quality of food. Thank you to Hannah who served us + Johnny.a very fine front of house

   I had my wedding here and we could not have asked for a better day. The whole lead up and planning was impeccable. The staff went a above and beyond. The entire day ran so smoothly and it honestly felt so relaxed that our guests welcomed the staff with open arms. All the staff were so helpful and professional. John was so amazing and took extra care of our guests and especially made sure all the kids were looked after. Which meant that we could totally relax and enjoy our day. John even went beyond with helping our daughter by cutting up her food once it was brought out to her and got her a drink and totally took care of her. Everything was set out perfectly. The food was abundant and absolutely delicious. The cocktails and drinks were amazing. At the end of the night the staff entertained the kids with their dance moves as we said our goodbyes to guests and gathered our things which was amazing and allowed us some time to make sure we had gathered everything. They had packed the rest of our things and set aside for us to collect the next day. Such a well run day and beautiful setting and views. Could not fault one single thing. We are so thankful to all at Castello Italia.

   Food was amazing as usual. However, when the starter arrived we were given no cutlery, asked for extra butter as well. 5 mins later we had to go and get these ourselves. Shortly after, the waiter came over to see if everything was ok. We hadn’t finished starters at this point. Less than a minute later he arrived back with our mains and was forced down in front of us. No time to finish starter nor allow it to settle before being made to eat our mains.

   Excellent Italian food and a lovely family meal. The pizza was a true delight with luscious dough. This new restaurant is such a welcome addition and little delight in a town with too many "grills" - we were very excited to try a different option in Carrickfergus that most certainly did not disappoint.

   We took a risk as it was our son's birthday, because the last time we were there the food was not good. Glad we went, there was a new chef cooking. Well the food was excellent, a massive improvement on the last time we were there, when I said I would not go back. Highly recommend the chicken supreme, the sirloin steak and a nice take on the stuffed turkey. Service was excellent, would definitely urge you to go and sample the new chef's cooking. Will definitely go back. We had a good night.

   Arrived and was greeted by a friendly member of staff. We got to pick where we wanted to sit. The food was delicious and was served quickly. I couldn’t finish my main course so it was boxed up for me. Dessert was big but really nice. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will definitely return. Price was very reasonable.

   One of the best meals and dining experiences we have ever had. We requested a seat on the upstairs balcony through booking which we got. The weather was beautiful so we were very glad of this. The food was 5 stars, couldnt fault a thing. The cocktails were just as good. Will definitely be back.

   First time there. 5 of us went upstairs in the evening. Nice place, customer service can be improved. We had ordered 3 Fillet steaks, lamb and the Scallops risotto. Very disappointed with our steaks, it's more like "boiled" steaks instead. Didn't enjoy the Risotto either,far too salty. Lamb dish was quite nice out of all. Truffle fries and hand cut chunky chips are delicious. Tiramisu are the best.
