A lovely restaurant with a great menu and a modern environment. The food is okay, quite spicy for my liking and the staff can be quite bland but generally it’s a nice place for a spot of lunch or an evening meal.
Very average food. Nothing special at all. I had the non veg thali which for around £18 isn't actually worth it. One piece of old tasting chicken in the little dish of butter chicken, one piece of lamb in the lamb curry, daal, raita, salad and kheer. Honestly, don't waste your money, you're better off just getting a full dish of something. The chicken was definitely not fresh, it had that old pre cooked flavour on it. This place could be really good if they sort certain things out. Friendly staff and welcoming. The chairs are super uncomfortable. This is the first time I visited the restaurant and I thought I'd leave my honest experience.
Food was decent...not the best but edible. Service was also decent...the atmosphere was a bit gloomy with a cold chill in the air.
Uday's is a great place food is 10/10 portion sizes are huge and prices are reasonable atmosphere was great staff very friendly and helpful food did not take long to reach our table after ordering
I had a wonderful vegetarian Indian afternoon tea at Uday’s on Dudley Road in Wolverhampton. The decor is classy and modern, with a peaceful ambiance and a beautiful glass waterfall feature that really sets the tone. The afternoon tea was a great mix of Indian street food and classic bites – pav bhaji, veg fingers with chips, samosa, papdi chaat, gol guppe, sandwiches, macarons, gulab jamun, and chilli soya. Everything was fresh, flavourful, and well-presented. The masala chai was a standout – rich, warm, and perfectly spiced. The service was excellent – the whole team was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. A special thanks to Binesh, who made sure everything ran smoothly. A lovely experience all around – I’d definitely recommend it!
Our first visit to this restaurant on a Friday lunchtime was a great success The interior decor and layout is stylishly choreographed. I should imagine on an evening the atmosphere is buzzing. We absolutely loved the Hariyali chicken tikka and grilled chicken wing starters. The flavours and spices are a refreshing change to the standard tikka and shish kebabs found in standard Indian restaurants. The taste is a cut above others We loved the Kolhapuri dishes complemented by peshwari naans and house red merlot wine. We loved the meals so much we ordered Kulfi pistachio deserts and cocktails to wash them down. We will definitely visit again with friends and family next time.
Had a nice catch-up with previous work colleagues. food was delicious, presentation was good. I particularly enjoy the IPA, not the cheapest place but worth going.
1st time here and won't be the last!! Food was spicy yet tasty and the service was great!! Was mum in laws birthday and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere!! Thanks guys for making mums birthday a nice one!!
Brilliant place for great food. The deco is very good and visually the interior looks good. The food is also very good with a wide selection of foods. The size of the kids meals was big but at least you can take it home. Look forward to returning and trying the breakfast menu. Very pleasant experience.
