I was recommended this place by a friend , it was my birthday so I booked for my family of 8 The place is lovely Christmas decs lovely. So far so good ! Then waited over an hour for food can’t say the waitress's were over pleasant food came, several of ours were cold , I had the beef it wasn’t up to much !! My grandson had 3 sausages and mashed potato which they charged Β£27 for !! I complained but I got no response!! It was my birthday my daughter had bought a cake , there was no joy in giving me the cake or anything!! Just plonked it on the table !! As you might guess we won’t be going there again !!!

Amazing food, this might be one of the best Tomatoe Soups I've had. It was so nice! Both me and my dad loved the food we had, we are hoping to come again to try something else as it was hard to pick. So many vegetables as sides given too us.

A Hidden Gem That’s Truly in a League of Its Own The Cowshed is simply exceptional every visit feels like a treat. From the moment you walk in, the place is spotless and welcoming. The open bar area leads into an even more spacious main restaurant that oozes class and comfort. Honestly, it feels more like relaxing in someone’s beautiful home than dining out. A lovely touch is the complimentary soup to start warm, hearty, and the perfect way to begin the meal. I had the honey-glazed chipolata sausages to start (so flavourful), followed by a rich and satisfying beef pie, and finished with a comforting apple crumble. Every dish was spot on clearly made with care and quality ingredients. There’s plenty of parking on site, and the cosy vibe is topped off by a real fire that runs through the main restaurant, adding to the homely atmosphere. If you haven’t been yet and it’s within reach, go as you won’t regret it.

Cracking venue outside of Shifnal. Used to the Horns of Bonningale. This is a nice step up. Good staff and and a bit of humour to boot. Very accommodating and polite. Food was amazing and good knowledge of what was on the plate. No blinds or curtains but they did offer to block the sun out of needed. Plenty of parking and good outdoor seating. Can't wait to come again

Wonderful place to eat! The food was incredible and service was excellent. We ate at a lunch time, so it was quieter than I assume it would be in the evening, but the atmosphere was lovely. We sat near a lovely big fireplace. I do wish it opened slightly earlier in the evening as we'd be able to use it for an evening meal more easily than we are currently, but that's down to our personal situation.

We arrived at the Cowshed and were greeted with a warm welcome from Will. It's our first time at the new venue. It certainly didn't disappoint. We were seated and the atmosphere and decor is stunning along with the open fire. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, all 3 courses were absolutely delicious. Couldn't fault a thing. Can't wait to come back and will be recommending to family and friends.

Lovely spacious restaurant set in nice surroundings. Went as part of a group of six. Good food, although some of the food could have been warmer. Friendly service staff.

Good quality food from a varied menu. Some of the meals could have been warmer but were very tasty although fairly expensive. Friendly service.

Booked a late table on Saturday 6 August. It was a busy night but we were seated promptly in the quieter area near the bar. Loving the new layout and decoration! Two of us ordered the black pudding, my fiance ordered the soup and her friend ordered the fish cake. The black pudding was immense - the photos I'd seen online didn't do it justice. I don't care for soup, but my fiance said it was really tasty. For mains, I had the fillet steak and everyone else had chicken. The steak was a good size and cooked perfectly (medium rare). I really enjoyed the chips too and the peppercorn sauce was amazing - even though I preferred the sauce that came with the chicken. We didn't bother with dessert on account of being full, but the manager made us Espresso Martinis which again were amazing. All in all, a great night out. Definitely recommend.
