Arrived for dinner with a few friends. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. However the dish that I ordered the Beef brisket ragu with gnocchi was severely over seasoned. Too much salt and I wasn't the only one in the party to think the same thing.
This place has the worst burger in the area. And stinking fries from yesterday. Only £16. I can only recommend this place as a pub with a good atmosphere, but eat something before you come here.
Came across this place looking for a nice simple place for dinner. The reviews looked good so we gave it a try. We weren’t disappointed. Its appearance is nothing special but the food was great! Had the fish and chips along with a salad and have to say it was probably one of the best pieces of fish I’ve had. Super crispy batter on the outside and a juicy piece of haddock inside. The young lady that served us was lovely and we enjoyed talking with her.
We discovered the restaurant by chance. Very good attitude towards us and our dog. We sat down and had a delicious lunch. We were not here last time. Toilets very clean and nice staff. Thank you. Jan and Daniela
Lovely wee place! Fantastic food and great service. It's got a great atmosphere with a lot of friendly people. Just be aware that it has a 'dress code'. No jogging bottoms or baseball caps... Basically if you look like you're going to the gym... Find somewhere else.
Loverly food, friendly staff and decent beer, thats all you need
In for lunch & to watch rugby food was nice service good but wouldnt sell cocktails while rugby was on. I wanted a bramble was told could nt have one. Thats not good customer service.
Sadly the Bureau is not the pleasant experience it used to be. We've been going for years and we understand that rising costs mean that changes have to be made. This means the front part of the restaurant is now closed off and the rear part is distinctly uninviting. We were the only two diners in at around 5.30 last night (4/1/23) and our meals took at least half an hour to arrive. The food was nice but my husband had been looking forward to his usual steak and it wasn't available on the very short menu. Unfortunately we've decided not to return until there are improvements. The Bureau is always advertised for its wonderful views but unless you sit outside, which is not an option in cold weather, then I'm afraid there's absolutely no view of the lough from downstairs. The restaurant upstairs which had the beautiful view has been closed for years. We won't be back until some crucial changes are made so we can return to our once favourite local restaurant.
We were a mixed age group and staff were so attentive and understood our needs perfectly. The food was delicious and well priced. Great value for money and superb staff. Thanks for a lovely afternoon and interacting with our elderly guests with such kindness.
The food (and Guinness) was amazing - great value and delicious. Staff were all lovely, especially Sam she brought a real warmth and ensured we had everything we needed!
