The Sunday Roast was lovely, and we enjoyed the meal. However, we did have a less positive experience when it came to paying. We encountered an issue with the card we initially tried to use, and unfortunately, the interaction with the team member handling the payment felt rude and unhelpful. We weren’t given an opportunity to explain the situation before they attempted to process two contactless payments and took the card from my hand to tap without permission. I was simply trying to explain that I’d entered the PIN incorrectly too many times and had asked my partner to return to our table to get an alternative form of payment. Having worked in hospitality myself, I completely understand that payment issues can be frustrating, but a bit more patience and understanding would have made a big difference to the experience.

The food is amazing. However, this is a large restaurant, it was full and there were two large tables of guests celebrating a birthday. This meant it was virtually impossible to hold a conversation at a smaller table. We left as soon as the meal was finished to seek somewhere quiet to have our catch up.

Absolutely fantastic. I rocked up with no table reservation on the off chance, they managed to find me a table right away. The flat iron steak was the best I've had, the peppercorn sauce was out of this world. Great friendly service and quick to serve the full 3 courses. Highly recommend

good food done well, excellent service and spacious inside. i had the pork schnitzel special with garlic herb butter on top which was excellent, my other half had a chicken dish which was very tasty also. came to over £70 total but we also had one starter to share and 3 alcoholic drinks. nowhere is cheap these days!

This was our first time at Neill's Hill Brasserie and I'm so glad we decided to give it a go. Just a great meal from start to finish. The staff were so friendly and it had a great atmosphere! Starters were Cauliflower Wings in hot sauce and Halloumi fries, mains were Smoked haddock, mash, poached eggs with mustard cream and chicken schnitzel, desserts were creme brulee and apple tart. My wife had a Grapefruit Gimlet cocktail which she described as "delicious!" I could fault any of these dishes, they all tasted great and every plate was handed back clean! We will 100% be back for more and I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant!

Enjoyed a delicious sea bass main for lunch. Served on a bed of lentils and prawns. So well seasoned with hints of spices. Service attentive. All excellent and will definitely return. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Bit of a treat going here for a family meal, more than we would usually spend but happy to do so. We were able to order from the main, set and kids menu. Food was lovely, good sized portions. Staff were really attentive and helpful. Vegan and vegetarian options available. Only issue was parking nearby for someone with mobility issues

Kept putting off visiting, but I'm glad that I did. You can see why the place is still going strong after all these years. The staff were friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and the food was stellar. I'll be back again, making any excuse to bring some friends or family.

Met a friend for an early dinner. Busy enough but a pleasant atmosphere. Service was quick. Enjoyed BBQ ribs with chips then sticky toffee pudding for dessert. No complaints about the quality or portion size. Bill for both of us was reasonable but probably also due to neither of us having any alcohol. Seems to suit a lot of groups like families, couples and others heading out for the night and the menu is varied enough.
