    Main meal was fine nice and hot. Carrots tasteless. Rhubarb crumble and custard disgusting. No taste of rhubarb what so ever. Can clearly tell the custard was made with made. Crumbles topping no taste such a shame. Place needs a deep clean upstairs. The toilets are a health hazard. Paper all peeling mould everywhere. Yoh can always smell mould spray which has been used which isn't a nice smell

    I ordered two afternoon teas to be delivered on behalf of my granddaughter for her and her mother as a surprise for Mother’s Day.. After searching the website The Parlour Restaurant appeared to offer what we were looking for and something different during Lockdown. Obviously we were happy with the service offered via messenger and payment of £28.50 included delivery was paid a few days before. This not only helped the local community during this difficult time but was something different. The afternoon teas arrived and my granddaughter and mom were appalled at what was in the boxes. Poor content rotten strawberries x 2 scone with no bottom and bland finger sandwiches. After several messages to the owner from my daughter the owner offer to exchange the scone and two strawberries. After several more messages she offered a £5.00 refund. I then sent a message as I was the person who had found this company where she refused to refund anything. A few minutes later another message arrive saying if we return the full boxes she would refund. I informed her that One box is full but the other is missing a scone and two finger sandwiches a further email was sent stating no refund. My granddaughter is still at school and paid £28.50 from her pocket money as a surprise for her mom in Lockdown. This company does not deserve to be patronised the food is poor and the service is just as bad. These people are taking advantage of Lockdown and supplying rubbish goods. Other companies haven’t been so fortunate to survive. Do not entertain this company. AWFUL

    It’s the second time l have been in this cafe first time the meal was lovely.. second time had a ploughman’s lunch to be given a ham and cheese salad do they know that a ploughman’s should have a piece of pork pie with it otherwise it is very friendly in there ...
