Best chippy I have had for a long time. Can't think of a single complaint. Lovely staff, good prices, good portions and great food.
Place used to be decent but after not visiting in a while I was passing and nipped in on a Saturday evening. Portions awful, service awful (older man serving), quality not great. Better places nearby and they are worth driving a few extra minutes to get to. I would recommend you avoid. I won’t be back

We have been going to The Atlantic for more than 4 years because of its location, staff, potion sizes and good quality of food. The past few trips have been very Underwhelming which is disappointing given the cost. Last night I purchased the chicken Goujon Supper. This is the last time unfortunately, the batter was tough and the chicken was chewy, not to mention the size! Very disappointing experience.

Decided to go to this place after work for my tea & i have to say it was lovely. Got a cod & a side of onion rings. This place used to not be great for food but has changed big time, really nice.
It's a chippy. It does chippy food. It's reasonably priced and it's quick. Honestly the service/atmosphere scores are low only because the place is dead silent, no music or anything, and the staff are so focused that there's no real banter or buzz but I know that's a positive for other people. Would absolutely go back, potion sizes were great too.
Have to say I was surprised by the extreme reviews of this place. I went today on my way home. Fish supper was great. A lot of chippy chips are under cooked around these parts so it was nice to get proper crispy ones! Can't fault it really. Curry sauce was excellent. And they do a bacon and egg burger (called a farmhouse) which is a must for me. A chippy that doesn't do a bacon and egg burger is no good to me.
Good chips and all usual meals (fish, battered sausage, chicken goujon etc) all of which are good. But for sauces I would stick to gravy; the BBQ sauce has a weird flavour with vinegar tones and the chilli sauce is very runny and just tastes of garlic.
