Dire... shop is gloomy, hasn't changed in 35 years! Staff sullen, no thankyou when paying or handing over food. Food was still poor despite change of ownership (haven't been for over a year but chinese takeaway was requested by grandkids). Spare ribs were very tough, prawn toast was made with crab sticks and soggy, tough pork sweet sour was 90% uncooked batter... no crispiness at all. Noodles were dry and only partially cooked, salt chilli chicken wings must've come from a sparrow !! £40 on very very mediocre food that wasnt eaten. Won't return..... ever.

I have been going to Mr chef fir a long time now. I have to say food quality various from visit to visit. Last night I had chicken chow mein. Totally tasteless dry the only flavour was the few bits of onion. Will not be getting that again. Have gad sweet and sour chicken balls generally OK Don't bother with the king prawn as tiny and well overcooked. I will be going elsewhere in future.

Great food and the owners are really nice and friendly. Come here nearly every week and they never disappoint. Recommend the Crispy Chicken in Cantonese sauce, the Yung Chow Fried rice and the Beef in Jiang Bao sauce

This is a cash only, takeaway only Chinese. Service is simple but courteous. The wait time in the bleak comfortless shop is reasonably brief but the food is excellent and generous. Our meal for two would have fed 3 reasonably well. Varied flavours and plenty of rice. If you prefer to put your own preferences together there are plenty of options to choose from.
