   Orient Chef was given a food hygiene rating of 2 (improvement necessary) when it was last inspected on 21 March 2024. I certainly wouldn't go there.

   Reasonably priced. Food is always tasty. It's freshly cooked to order, and you don't have to wait long. I try to go for something new, but I love their King Prawn Chow mein, and my daughter loves their BBQ spare ribs.

   Out of all the years we've been coming to this Chinese tonight was unfortunately the worse meal we've had from there. The noodles were different to what we normally have which are thick and nice this time they were hardly visible and no taste, the taste wasn't there in any of the food. The only nice thing was the prawn crackers!! Really disappointing and won't be back.

   Sorry to say we won't be using this takeaway again, ordered 3 dishes and a curry sauce and all 3 dishes tasted the same, bland and and dark, as was the curry sauce. One of the dishes was Satay chicken and it looked and tasted NOTHING like satay at all, just tasted the same as the special fried rice and the chicken chow mein - disappointed

   Orient Chef used to be hands down the best chinese in the area. we have been using them since around 2008. last night we orderd from here after a while and i must say the quality has dropped off a cliffe the singapore vermchelli was tasteless. and the beef curry was watery. I must stress that it is with a heavy heart that i write this review. it is safe to say that i will be going elsewhere in future and i suggest you do the same!

   Found a piece of metal in a beef curry they replaced the curry witch was good of them. I've then rang up tonight asked if the rice comes with the curry price . As a meal to be met with a disrespectful ladie telling me ino it does in an angry manner shy I even tried to order again after finding metal In the curry. They are so rude it is unbelievable do not order from here. Rude woman B##ch

   Just ordered plain chow mein, fried rice, chips and curry sauce from this place. What an absolute mess. Everything is being cooked in dirty pans and dirty oil. Absolutely no pride in the food whatsoever. It's bland, soulless, dirty and unappealing. Truly the worst of all Chinese takeaways round these parts and believe me the there are a lot of contenders for that accolade. To even have the word "Chef" in the title is an affront to chefs anywhere. If they can't even get the most basic things right like Rice, Chow mein, curry and chips, I dread to think what their meat based or more complex dishes would be like. I actually think they need a visit from food standards agency it's that bad. I'm actually considering contacting them before they end up causing some unfortunate diner a real issue. Please avoid this place if you can. It's not remotely clean or healthy.
