“I've been a customer of Primo for many years. The owner has always been friendly and it's always had a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I popped in Sunday afternoon with the family and dogs after a nice walk. We had paninis and a pint which were quality. We sat in the outside seating/dining that perfectly resembles the outdoor dining areas of Italy/France. This is great to start seeing more of this in the UK. There's plenty of public parking and access to public transport on Carlton Hill. I thought I'd also mention that my wife had a delicious croissant and they have an excellent selection of pastries. 10/10 looking forward to my next visit.”

“Amazing gem, so lucky to live close by. Customer service is impeccable and friendly, can-do attitude is so warm and lovely. All the staff are trained well - not a badly made coffee ever, and the service is always personable and tailored to you as an individual. We are blessed to have Portobello in our neighbourhood. It is a fun, relaxed vibe and the music is always top notch! I love the soft reggaeton play into the street, it brightens the day when doing mundane grocery tasks.”

“Really, really good service from everyone who looked after us and served us right from the start. The food was also incredible. I was looking forward to trying everything we ordered but it was honestly exceptional - beautifully presented, incredible flavour combinations, nicely proportioned. Churros and salmon with orange were both incredible. The padron peppers were maybe the best we've ever had. I'd say it was really good value for the quality as well. Would love to pop in again in the future.”

“I've been using this shop since I was a boy with my parents. Now I use it with my kids and they love the food too and whilst the shop has had some uplifts the food has been the one constant you can count on. Great food great prices great staff.”

“Best fish and chips shop ever! The quality and taste of the food is 10/10 for me I've been going there since I've been going to school at Gedling Academy and they are still going strong! I 100% recommend the prices are very reasonable for what you are getting too! The best kebab I've ordered Chicken and Donner no other shop can compare and the fish and chips are cooked to perfection.”

“Recommend the lemon chicken, the nicest I have ever eaten, all cooked fresh, with chips or rice. Also the chicken balls, proper chunks of chicken in a really nice light and crispy batter. I had a set three course menu and the portions were generous. It also has a license for drinks.”

“came here for brunch with friends, between us we tried both the vegetarian and vegan breakfasts, as well as hot and iced lattes. was very impressed by the range of dishes offered and the way that the vegan and veggie dishes didn’t just seem like an afterthought. very reasonably priced - full English with a coffee for £11 a head and not lacking on quality or portion size either!! coffee was great too, and we were told that it’s from a local roaster too which is great. Staff were very polite and friendly and it’s just so nice to find another cosy spot that is reasonably priced and caters to everyone!!!”
