   After today’s visit I was left very disappointed. As a table of 10 and a family that visit here often we are going to have to look elsewhere for our family gatherings.Having had surgery in the last week and struggling to eat a great deal I requested a child’s portion, only to be met with an abrupt response of “no you can’t have that”, when asked if there is anything that could be done as a smaller portion I was just referred to the normal adult menu. I found the server to be very unhelpful even after explaining my situation she just shrugged at me. This is not the first bad thing experience I have received recently a few weeks ago I asked for a breakfast roll and when it came it was mouldy. The place is going downhill. I can’t say that the customer service level has dropped with all staff there but one in particular could do with some basic front of house training.

   Came for a Christmas meal with a group of Learning Disabled adults, staff and volunteers. The staff were incredible: patient, caring, understanding and adaptable. The Christmas menu was varied and for mass catering was great with plenty of nicely cooked vegetables. Thank you so much to the lovely staff.

   For what appears to be a good variety menu with entising options, when the food came out it was clearly microwaved with very little flavour. I had the steak and ale pie with very soggy pastry. Its bad when the most enjoyable part of the meal was the chips! Drinks are also on the pricier side. Layout is good with accessible entrances and a nice outdoor area, staff were polite. I didn'tfeel it appropriate to complain at the time as we were part of a large party and didn't want to upset the host. Overall I wouldn't recommend or visit again.

   Absolutely lovely meal there tonight. Had a mixed grill and a 12oz rump during steak night Friday. Steak was cooked to perfection and the mixed grill was delicious

   The food was really reasonably priced, a cost comparable to Wetherspoons even, but far, far better quality. All the meals we ordered we exceptioal, and the chips are a real highlight - proper chip shop quality. However, the drinks are vastly over priced, especially the soft drinks, and there is a poor selection of ales and ciders. This disparity in price turned an affordable family outing to a very expensive few hours. The service was also very slow, and the atmosphere is more akin to a crowded canteen than a cosy pub or a restaurant.

   Food was nice and reasonably priced too. Just the service was pretty rubbish. I was stood by the till waiting for someone to come and take my payment. As soon as a male customer came up to also pay a male member of staff came to the till and of course dealt with the male customer first. Then once i was paying he just turned and walked away. No thank you, no acknowledgement, no nothing. So im still stood there waiting for my receipt being ignored like a muppet until he noticed me again
