   19.11.25. The restaurant has broken all records today. Snow is lying on the ground and all the hot drinks machines are out of order due to a ‘mechanical issue’. What sort of mechanical issues affects all the stand alone drinks machines at the same time? Is it contagious? Ikea really need to up their game. Ps. Their cold fizzy drink alternatives are bloody horrible. I’m off to Greggs now.

   Mid October I visited the cafe with two friends. I opted for fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce. When I eventually got back to our table, the food tasted fine but was cold. After mucking about at the hot drinks carousel to find the right dispenser and then visited the sauces and paper napkins counter, despite the cover over my food it was cold. Added to that the cutlery was still dirty from the dishwasher that they use. Not a great experience but I suppose you get what you pay for?

   Always great value for money to feed the family, especially when you use the family card discount. Roberta on the tills had great patience when we were mistakingly trying to use a Tesco discount code! Never that busy mid week evenings, but they often shut half the service down, so can be a queue. On this occasion they had ran out of all deserts, which was odd.

   I have eaten in IKEA Restaurants for decades. It's a good start before the shopping. Lots of choices. Family friendly. Soups and rolls are yummy. Meatballs is a must. Had some cakes and drinks too. Reasonable prices. 4.5/5.

   I am a regular visitor. Last year noticed dramatic food quality decline. First visit in 2023 very disappointing - portions smaller price’s higher, limited choice of simplified dishes, and a horrible taste of watery coffee.

   Cheap and cheerful. Good customer service. Menu changed a bit since my last visit, seems to be more vegetarian options now and pretty much all drinks are sugar free only.

   Nice cafe. Great food. Great value. Can get busy at peak times. The food served here is really good value, particularly the meatballs which are extremely tasty. They also sell them in the food shop. If you are an IKEA Family Member you can get free Tea or Coffee on weekdays. Lots of seating. Very light.
