So rude do not go here I asked for chilli and mayo and he said “no just one” I said could I pay for some chilli. He grabbed the sauce aggressively looking at me like I was pure filth and charged me £1. No need for the rudeness and attitude!!!

I went to this chip shop because Apollo was shut, and let's just say it wasn't quite what I expected. I had a small chips, battard sausage, and curry sauce. First, the 'small' chips. Well, it was small—no argument there. I’m used to Apollo, where a small portion usually means I’ve got leftovers. Here? Not so much. Apollo definitely offers better value for money, but I suppose that’s not a competition for this place. The battard sausage, though? It was a bit underwhelming. Bland, really, and the batter had seen better days—probably back when it was actually crispy. At Apollo, they cook things fresh, so I’ll leave it at that. As for the curry sauce, it was a bit like ready-mixed chip shop curry powder you might find at a discount store. Barely warm, quite watery—it didn’t quite hit the mark, to be honest. Overall, I won’t be rushing back. I’ve got a place I trust just down the road, and I’ll be sticking to it.
Hi we Ordered a large chips a fish cake and large sausage . Our experience wasn't good .unfriendly communication from staff, our food had been all thrown in together like rubbish, we had to go back up to the shop after opening our meal and complain to to the manager because of cross contaminated fish mushed in with chips and sausage all together .The fish cake had all been rolled up into the chips it was a mess .. when I kindly explained what we had received and showed him the food a picture he then actually accused myself of chopping up the fishcake with a knife and said this to me aggressively and slammed the chips down and put the used sausage on the side and was going to give it me back again. I had to tell him he couldn't do this, yet he still wanted to give me the same sausage back. He them spoke in a different language to his staff shouted it had been done by a knife again by myself and wasn't happen to assist me at all . He then still put the a sausage and fish together .We only Went there for a quick convenient meal before my partner went to work and it ended up ruined costing me money for something that we didn't enjoy and had a bad customer service experience and wasn't quick and convenient either . I Will not be returning . Absolutely disgusting attitude . Health and hygiene checks definitely need . staff training much needed to .
We used to frequent here quite a lot, but not anymore. The food is absolutely terrible in terms of quality and for the price of the items you get essentially nothing. I've eaten enough chippy's in my time to know when chips have been refried, and these most certainly have. Cold and rock hard. Save your money and your soul and go down the road to the chippy closer to Bulwell! Much better!
In my opinion Possibly the best chippy in Notts, always accomidating, never too much trouble and very friendly staff, keep up the good work, it'll pay dividends..
Lovely food! Everything is always cooked to perfection. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Never had anything to complain about, One of the best chippies around
