   Today I was passing so decided to nip in for a quick chippy tea, after taking it away I noticed that there was a very odd smell in my car, thinking nothing of it I took my dinner home and as soon as I walked through the door my housemate said "something smells off" ..unwrapped the chippy tea and the entire order was off, the fish and chips smelled so bad that my housemate was gagging, and once I cut the fish in half I noticed the fillet was an off white grey colour and smelled like the worst thing I'd ever smelled, Rang the restaurant but couldn't get through so rang again and again to be told that the fish can't be off. It can be, and it was Went to look at reviews before posting this and saw another review today saying the exact same thing?? Is everyone wrong??, I don't think so.

   Ordered the fish and chips meal for 2 , after driving along way and staying in a hotel we wanted a quick and easy tea , however this fish bar delivered the food quickly however both fish and the fish bits was off , they smelt sour , taste bitter and sour and slimey. Fish had a grey texture to it , batter is really soggy and breadcrumb tesxture rang the restaurant to complain and ask for a exchange or a refund and got a load of abuse instead, refused to sort the issue out. Don't believe the good ratings on here. £30 down the absolute drain and without a meal for today as only budgeted a certain amount for our trip. Will be sharing this on social media aswell. Also will be reporting to trading standards and health as serving that will make someone really ill.

   Fantastic Establishment! Ordered Chicken Kebab wrap and chips which was the best I’ve had in the UK, proper naan bread wrap and the chips were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. You can tell the Owner takes great pride in his food and hospitality. Very friendly. Nice warm night so ate on the benches outside, was bliss.

   On ‘Just Eat’ I gave a less complimentary review as I thought my salad had been missed. The delivery lady (who was lovely) returned with my salad which had been left in her car. Food and service were both excellent, will definitely be using again!

   Chip are nice anything that’s battered is horrible the sausage tastes like dog meat and the kababs look ok but the meat and salads isn’t freash the chicken kababs made me Ill again so I know it’s from there now,the meat was freezing too,the morning after stomachs killing got the runs and feel generally poorly…NEVER AGAIN!!!

   I thought I knew what good fish and chips tasted like, boy was I wrong, Toton fish bar transcends take away cuisine into what can only be described as "art". OK well maybe that's going too far. I'll just say, good food, clean, and good value, recommended

   Tonight was our first time trying this chippy. Wow. Everything was perfect, mixed meat was so delicious, a proper cooked burger and to top it off, the 2 fellas that were on tonight (15/12/21) were super friendly and greeted with a smile. Well done lads. We came from long eaton after being let down from a chippy there.
