We had the Korean BBQ in the table and it was a great experience, the food was really tasty and just the right portions for us, would highly recommend if you like Korean BBQ. I can see what some people say about the service but I think it is just a laid back place and that's fine, if we needed anything we asked and the staff there were happy to help.”

“k summary: 100% recommend Here's why: Looked online to see if the place was dog friendly and found no details but the menu looked nice and other reviews were good so we risked it and yes they are dog friendly! Staff were warm and welcoming from the start. The place is cozy, well decorated and arranged. We found a seat quickly for brunch around 10am on a Friday morning. We ordered a dirty chai latte which they claim to be homemade. I can definitely confirm it tasted nothing like the powdered stuff and was quite possibly the nicest one I've ever had. We were asked about our dietary requirements and allergies which is always nice. I'm a vegetarian and it's often hard to find places that do more than some bland fry up with veggie sausages.. this place delivers for all preferences. My partner had the Pantry breakfast which was a generous plate with homemade baked beans and sausages that he said were well seasoned and flavourful as well as nice bagon and the choice of eggs 3 ways, he went with poached. The pancakes can apparently be swapped with toast but who would want that. Real maple syrup was also served with the dish. I had the avocado and poached eggs on sourdough which I'm going to be honest was a small portion but it was delicious. I could have done with a second slice of sourdough.. maybe an egg on each with all the toppings. The avocado surprised me. I expected just some sliced unseasoned avocado as most places do but this was actually mashed avocado seasoned and flavoured with lime. Gorgeous pairing of pickled red onion. Feta and micro greens. Finally there was a selection of cakes but recently becoming diabetic, I could not indulge. Very sad indeed as the cakes and pastries looked amazing. Maybe one day there will be low sugar options available. All in all, it was a nice little find and definitely a place we'd go back to.”

“I have been eating occasionally at Amores for many years, but it was probably about 5 years since my last visit. I had clearly forgotten just HOW GOOD the food is. The menu is great to enable you to construct the dish how you like, choosing your main component (i.e. meat) cooked in a way you like and then selecting appropriate sides, such as pasta, fries, veg etc to suit your mood. The options are all so very tempting! Service is quite speedy, with very helpful and friendly staff making you feel well looked after. The Tiramisu is divine... it was all exceptional but I will be having dirty dreams about that dessert.... If you haven't tried it yet, please do. It's well priced and you will leave feeling so very very happy.”

But it wasn't just the food that made this breakfast special - Ziggy's warm and welcoming personality added an extra touch of charm to the experience. They clearly love what they do, and it shows in the way they interact with customers. Overall, I would highly recommend Lounge bar to anyone looking for a top-notch meal and a friendly atmosphere. The food was an amazing, the portions were particularly good we shared the meal between 2 people and have leftovers :) The people was very nice and the service was very fast. I would definitely go back and make it one of my go to places”

“We had a very good time here, the smoked haddock chowder was lovely and the prawn spring rolls were delicious. We also had as a main course the crispy pork with red sauce with jasmine rice and the Tai style Roast duck with egg fried rice were also good and decent portions for us. The only downside was that the above and a bottle of wine cost a total of £80.00 which I find is more of a special occasion restaurant rather than a monthly treat. Although this was a very nice meal.”

“Absolutely fantastic evening spent with my friends at The Commercial tonight. Great selection of drinks, wonderful staff, brilliant atmosphere and above all the food was outstanding! I had the lamb shank which was cooked to perfection, really tender meat, beautiful minted gravy along with the smoothest mash potato ever it was all absolutely delicious! The portion size was very generous so great value for money. Given the place was packed our waiting time was only 25 minutes. We will definetly be visiting again we all cleaned our plates! Thank you to all the staff for making our evening so enjoyable.”

“Only started coming late 2023 and it's been my frequent go to spot for a takeaway! The food is delicious. Genuinely the best takeaway I have ever had. Always friendly service, very polite and they're quick with the food as well! And best of all, they're greener than most! If you're looking for something different I'd 100% recommend Chao Choa.”

“Definitely the best dining experience in Nottingham, hands down. (I visited the Showcase cinema complex branch!) First class food, first class service. Great ambience and music. And out-of-the-world price! I didn’t even realise I came here on opening day, and it’s all decked out, the staff revved up and smiling. My husband had a portion of wedges and a Double Pepperoni Pizza and was just as impressed as me. Together with a 1.5 litre bottle of Diet Coke, our dinner was £19.99 and was so filling that there's plenty left for tomorrow.”

“Wow what a lovely hotel. From the lobby to the bar area and up to the bedrooms. Beautifully decorated, very modern areas to have a chat and a drink with friends. Our bedroom was bright, spacious and well appointed. Bath towels and linen were lovely, white and really soft. The bed was super comfy. The staff in the hotel were excellent. If we are back in Nottingham we would definitely stay again.”

I had mainly the veggie dishes but the chicken was lovely too, and I'm told the mutton dish was also gorgeous. First visit and we'll be back! The food is cooked fresh on the day, you can tell it's made with love, and if you like, or want to try, Sri Lankan food, you must visit!”

“Fabulous little venue with tasty food and friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to cafe roya, it was my sister’s birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make her feel special. Really appreciate small venues like this that have staff who make you feel welcome and comfortable in their restaurant. All dishes were super fresh and tasty making me want to come back for more and work my way through the menu. Along with their brilliant staff and food they make stunning cocktails which again , you can’t stop at just the one! Can’t wait to visit again, very tempted by the sound of the lunch menus!”

It's got clean flavors, value for money and the host really cares for the food she makes and its evident from the tasty food. I have tried samosa chat, masala chai and aloo paratha. “We were dropping our son to the University of Nottingham end of September and stumbled upon Compà in Beeston on our first night of arrival. It was our son’s suggestion and we decided to check it out! I am so glad we did! The food was delicious and it was like visiting a family - cosy, warm ambiance and pretty lights inside that made it feel festive and special on a week night. We were pretty tired after flying from US to London, than taking a train to Nottingham the next morning so it was especially nice to sit down and take time to enjoy this place, yummy food while we planned next few days. We stroke a conversation with the owner who turned out to be such a wonderful kind person and it made us feel even more comfortable and welcome. It was a lovely experience and a warm welcome. “The first time we came they only supplied coffee and cake, but now they offer lunches. Yay. The first thing that strikes me, it’s a lovely atmosphere. Nice and friendly staff and customers. It’s great to see they welcome laptop working and have a fair guide available to see. Encouragement for extended laptop working is upstairs with a nominal fee. Parking is available in the Broxtowe’s car park is opposite or if you can keep you visit time down to 30mins there is free street parking round the corner (we managed 35 mins and didn’t get a ticket). It is on the tram route with a stop just 2 mins up the road. The tomato soup with sourdough was lovely. The facilities are spacious and clean.”
