After a very busy day, we decided to pop in to this fish & chip shop to pick up some dinner. In the early hours the next day, I myself was violently sick and at 63 not a good thing. One of my son's has a bad case of diarrhoea, the other, who has an iron stomach has a very upset stomach and has been in bed all day.My wife was the only one that got away with nothing, as she only eat a small amount as she did not fancy her food, how lucky was she. As it goes without saying we will NOT be using that chippy again and would strongly advise others to give it a big miss unless you have a stomach like a hyaena. And on top of all that they messed up the order multiple times and instead of my son paying for 'meal deals' he had to pay the full price. To nice for his own good as I would not have. Highly NOT recommended!!!

Two mini fish and medium portion of chips.....£19.00! Not joking, this is true.Friday dinnertime 17th October. Ridiculously expensive. Not going back.

Been going here for a number of years, but less frequently recently. Went tonight and got large fish and regular chips. What has happened??? Both fish and chips were largely tasteless. Cost was £12 and both fish and chips were cooked as I waited. Very disappointed and, sadly, because it was so bad compared to other times I have brought from you, you have lost my future business.

Popped in after a day out walking today and got haddock and chips. They had only just opened so it was all cooked fresh (they always cook the fish to order anyway). A lovely chat whilst I waited with the always really nice and friendly staff and then off I went, home to enjoy their delicious fayre. Best fish n chips around as far as I'm concerned.

Last time in Long Eaton I went to the Cod n Scollop, the most expensive, average chippie in the UK! This time the Britannia Fish Bar, far better value, tastier, nicer all round and a full £4 cheaper! 3* hygeine rating though?

Excellent fish and chips shop. Probably no 2 in Long Eaton but they're open in Sundays which the other one isn't. The only reason I've marked them down by one star is because they don't take card payments unless you order online.

Food lovely as usual however, didn't deliver the drinks, when I initially rang to inform them a very polite apologetic man said he would send them straightaway. 5 mins later a rather abrupt lady rang me back to tell me I had received the drinks and then hung up on me ! Still no drinks arrived an hour later .

We have been ordering from here for a couple of years but lately every time we order it's been almost 2 hrs for delivery and when you phone you're told it will be with you anytime now but still you're waiting, items missing and most of the food is barely warm when you finally receive it. It's a shame as it used to be one of our favourite places to order from, it gone down hill and we will be finding somewhere else to order from, from now on.

Ordered a large kebab and that's exactly what I got Fantastic quality. The pitta bread had no grease on it and was soft inside with a crispy outer. Salad was fresh and crunchy and meat was tasty and non greasy. The chilli sauce was the perfect mix of heat and taste. A+ For quality and delivery. Would recommend everyone to give this chip shop an order as you won't be disappointed. Friendly delivery driver with a smile even in the pouring rain Thumbs up from me
