We have already booked for next year, this time bringing more family and friends, we are hoping to make it a tradition as with everything we have been through it is what we all really needed. Being a foster carer I brought children from the age of 8 to my oldest being 32 and there was something for everyone. Even the teenagers who did not want to come or get involved came and enjoyed..

This was our first stay at Bluestone with our nearly 2 year old and his grandparents. Firstly, we had a few things missing from our accommodation (a shelf in the fridge, spare pillows etc.). The staff were very friendly and accommodating and quick to sort the missing bits out for us - they even asked us if we needed an extra fridge! The food in the village is expensive and just above average but it’s a very useful resource to have available for those times you don’t want to cook. Our little one particularly enjoyed the swimming pool and sandpit. Inside the hive is the giant play area, we found the areas for his age group very small and the bouncy castle wasn’t safe for him with a load of 11+ year olds running around but with all the other options available, we didn’t mind! Something to note is that bluestone is car free; you drop your stuff off at the accommodation, have an hour to get it sorted then the car goes to the car park. You aren’t left completely stranded as they offer you a buggy (which is clearly where they make their money as they are crazy expensive). We didn’t get one as we don’t mind a walk. We were at the furtherest point away from the swimming pool, hive etc. and it would take us 15/20 mins to walk there which was no issue to us. We personally found the buggy’s annoying, they were everywhere and for some reason people would drive around beeping the horns (like it was their first time inside a vehicle with a horn). A trip to Tenby is well worth the visit, if nothing but for the views! We chose a particularly sunny day and it was stunning and a short drive from bluestone. All in all, we really really enjoyed our stay and will absolutely be back again. Perfect for kids, nice scenery, nice people, reasonably priced, what more can you ask for?

Pretty good, lots of fun things for the little ones, nice pub as well, and paths connect to ones outside the place for some woodland walks. One gripe I have is that they advertise the pool area as being 'sub-tropical' but cos the lazy river goes outside, the whole pool area is not enclosed, meaning, since we went in the Autumn, I found any of my skin not in the water, which if you are with a kid you have to be in water up to their depth not yours, feeling a bit nippy, especially walking from one pool to another or the slides. It's not a big deal but it definitely doesn't feel like the impression I got from their advertising beforehand.

Although there were a few things that we felt needed improvement, I.e. the classic lodge we stayed in needed an update as well as the pool - the overall resort was fab and perfectly suited to our 1 and 3 year old. The staff were amazing, there was not one member of staff that we dealt with that was not helpful and friendly. The serendome and hive were amazing. Our whole holiday was based around these two places and they exceeded our expectations. Our little boy won’t stop talking about the play area at the hive. The tavern was brilliant too, every time we went it was quiet, cosy and warm. Just how you want a pub. We are already looking to rebook but will perhaps book a more premium lodge this time round. Would definitely recommend to families with young children.

Fantastic break with our daughter and family. We were very happy with the accommodation upon arrival. The buggy hire making it easier to get around. Great indoor swimming and slides. Good selection of food and drink venues. The crowning glory for me was after having an accident on my invalid scooter, the first aiders and security team were fantastic at treating me and getting me to the local hospital. The following day receiving a card and some goodies wishing me a swift recovery. Excellent. Cannot fault Bluestone

Had a long weekend with family over school holidays, there is so much to do for children and adults alike. There are numerous walks and activities such as the blue lagoon pool, which was fabulous, the hive which my granddaughters really enjoyed and probably would have spent the whole weekend in there. The children's play area was popular and the lake with its fairy lights and assorted characters was lovely. The park is set down hill and it can be difficult to walk around as I found, but there is a guest bus that runs all day around the park which was useful. The food available in the pub/restaurant was nice and there is also a shop in the village which sells most of the things you need and you can always order a delivery of pizza or fish and chips from the village takeaway. The car park is up the hill and only golf buggies are allowed in the park

Fabulous break, third time we've been here inside 18 months. Facilities for kids are second to none, food is reasonably priced and the staff can't do enough for you! Excellent choice of accommodation too. Winter lake lights and the pub dinners by the fire were particular highlights. Already looking forward to creating more memories with the family here!

Excellent time at this place in January at a very reasonable price! Lots to do indoors which is ideal considering the colder, wetter weather. The Serendome, the hive and pool are ideal for all ages to enjoy. Service was excellent with people turning up within minutes to sort out any problems in the accommodation. The accommodation itself was lovely although could do with a few more reading lamps in the lounges. The corner shop was reasonably priced and overall you didn’t feel like they were trying to fleece you once you arrived unlike other places. The kids show was great fun and FREE and the light show around the lake was a lovely idea. Love the fact that walking and cycling is encouraged and there are no cars allowed on site ( as a rule). It’s a great holiday to choose to get active in the winter. You’ll do plenty of walking around the large site. The complex is beautifully and carefully designed to feel restful; surrounded by nature with paths to explore into local countryside. It is also big on sustainable energy so top marks for environmental care too.

Very relaxing place generally. The spa was a highlight and the lodges are fab. Well equipped and spotless. Lots of baby equipment we no longer need but it was good to see it there free to use. Other reviewers have stated its a bit tired here and there which is fair enough and maybe for that kind of money it ought to be better but we had a great time. The staff were all really friendly and excellent everywhere in and out of the resort. Activities seemed expensive but were well done and the kids really enjoyed them. It is very hilly and spread out so be prepared for outdoors and walking and you shouldn't be disappointed!

A great place for the family. Lots to do, the pool is included and a great facility. Some activities are quite pricey if you've got more than 2 children. A multi-child discount would be a great option. The accommodation is spotless and really comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend hiring a buggy if you've got elderly members in your party, or anyone who has mobility issues. There are several play areas, but the equipment was geared to younger children. Play facilities for older kids would be nice. Overall, we had a totally fabulous time and would definitely book another stay
